Together with some family members, I visited Tilgate Nature Centre to view the cranes again which have been sitting on eggs for weeks now. It seems however that the eggs were not fertile so the staff have removed them. That is a shame. We were looking forward to seeing the cute young birds. Never mind, thats nature!

The centre has a nice feature built across the lake. A boardwalk which was being repaired has now been opened again. It was good to walk out on this again.

You get a good view of wildlife such as herons fishing in the fringes of the shore opposite. Another thing I noticed was how many pond scaters there were. Thousands and thousands. No way of getting a picture with my mobile phone unfortunately, far too small.

As you can see, it was cloudy but very warm and humid. Later in the day it cleared to give rise to a hot evening. It will be uncomfortable tonight!
