For the second day in a row, the highest recorded June temperature in the UK has been broken. 36.7°C today, slightly up on yesterday's value.
It felt very hot on my walk in Goffs Park. I stopped several times in the shaded areas for some shelter out of the sun.

Nobody was out on the pitch and putt course, but I'm not surprised at all! 😆. It was a little too hot for walking actually, but my destination was a pub right on the edge of this lovely park, so that is what kept me going! 😂.

I took a picture of the small lake, and looking at it later, I noticed the fish out in the middle close to the surface gasping for oxygen. Poor things. The heat must be uncomfortable for them too.

My refreshment was excellent and I walked back through the park again afterwards enjoying the scenery. The ducks were enjoying the lake.

One more thing I have noticed this year is the amount of rats there are running about. They are now so bold as to run right past without even noticing that I'm there it seems! Too fast for a picture. You would think they might stop for a portrait, or am I now being ridiculous? 😁
