Active day in Guildford : My Actifit Report Card: April 24 2026
Wow! What a lovely sunny day! Also a very active one too. Centred around Guildford town, first a walk around the town centre and a short visit to the castle grounds. Followed by a nice walk into the countryside. Passing by a really attractive lake.
The lake above is part of the research park and Surrey county hospital grounds.
After leaving the research park, I walked with my daughter to a small pond that I had visited in march this year. It was quite creepy in the gloom of winter but today the scene was different.
For comparison the picture below was taken in March on my last visit. The water level is much higher too.
The sunshine has been glorious today, and we made the most of it. With almost 25k steps it feels like I have run a marathon 😫.

SOOO much green! In Canada, we have some green returning rather quickly after a long winter but nowhere near that. Steps in nature are definitely some of the best and 24,000 of them is legit!
Bright blue sky in the UK? This a rare thing?
