Spring colours : My Actifit Report Card: April 14 2026
I took photos of this small fir tree in April last year. The new colourful red buds are fascinating and there are many more this year as my pictures show.
I pass this tree frequently and the colour will fade quickly as the bud opens up into a new shoot. It wont be long before the tree is just different shades of green once again.

Very interesting that the buds on this Fir tree are red, I wonder what type of Fir it is?😀

Next time I'm in the area I'll have a look and see if there is a plaque. Many of the larger trees in Worth Park Gardens have these plaques.
