Little Owl.
These furry feathered friends can be found at Huxley's birds of prey centre which we visited today. A first time for me and a surprise too. Situated at the rear of a garden centre π.
We were entertained by an open air show featuring sime of the birds.

The buzzard had a long tether as it was a bit nervous and could fly off at any moment. π€£.

The barn owl was much more domesticated and was free to fly to the perches at will for feeding. Very entertaining too.

There were lots of other birds here in cages. A nice red kite too. Buzzards and kites have been successfully introduced back into the wild here in England as they were hunted nearly to extinction in most of the UK in the nineteenth century.

Red Kite

All the birds were given names as well. A nice touch. I was pleasantly surprised by this smallish collection of birds. The animals are very well looked after and the centre is a great way to spend some time with family, especially children.
