Car park woes! : My Actifit Report Card: October 6 2025

I have done quite a bit of driving today. Having a family member in hospital an hours drive away is challenging at the best of times, but add to that a less than helpful car parking system, you have potential nightmare. After circling the car park once without finding a space, I decided to look outside along the road where there was some restricted parking.
Today, there wasn't a single space left! 😬

I didn't want to park too far from the hospital as I only had two hours of visiting time, so I went back to the hospital car park to persevere with looking for an empty space. 🙄

When I entered the car park, the very first space on the right was empty! 😃

Hooray!

I don't know why I'm cheering as the parking cost me £7.50!

Added to that, when we left, I nearly had to call out the breakdown service because the battery was almost dead. It wouldn't start!

Luckily for me, I had a jump starter pack in the car. Something I was recommended by an old work colleague. It is a life saver! It is a great item to keep in the car in case of situations like this.
