The Cool Off! : My Actifit Report Card: July 6 2025
On a very cloudy and cool morning, we walked in Ifield Mill Pond park. It was quite pleasant even though the sun was not shining and felt warm.
Among the usual wild birds were a couple of black headed gulls. We often get sea gulls here, but it is unusual to see these here.
Later in the afternoon when we were safely indoors the was an intense thunderstorm with heavy rain. We watched the rain and lightning from the windows with awe!

What an interesting experience full of contrasts.
Those nature walks always have a special charm, even when the weather is not ideal.
Seeing laughing gulls must have been a curious detail, especially if they are not common in that area.
And how impressive it must have been to witness the storm from the safety of home, nature never ceases to amaze us.
