Chelsea's summer acquisition Danny Welbeck scored on his debut for the Blues as Chelsea's League Cup - 2nd Round got off on a good start vs Luton Town as they ran out with a (2-0) win over The Hatters. That marks a good result for Xabi Alonso's first competitive home game in charge of the Blues.
However, midfielder Enzo Fernandez was left out of Chelsea's 2-0 win over Luton Town on the night as he weighs in on his imminent transfer to Manchester City.
Fernandez had earlier appeared as an unused substitute in Monday's (3-2) Premier League win at Fulham.
