My Actifit Report Card: August 24 2026

Xabi Alonso had a dream start to his Chelsea reign with a comfortable win over their London rival Fulham at Craven Cottage. It was a game between two previous Real Madrid managers Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa and it was Alonso that had the upper hand.

In a game that was packed with end-to-end pressing intrigues it was Chelsea that broke the deadlock through Cole Palmer. Fulham responded through Josh King.

But at the end of the day Chelsea prevailed (3-2) and registered Alonso's first win of the season.

Alonso should be happy with the performance of his summer recruit Morgan Rogers who also opened his account for the Blues.
