My Actifit Report Card: August 21 2026
The EPL defending champions Arsenal started off their title defence in grand style. The Gunnars were handed an 'easy' draw for the first game of the season, so to say. It appeared easy on paper anyway.
But at the start of the game, Arsenal made it look that easy as they brushed aside their opponent Coventry City by (3-0). Coventry City who were just returning to the top flight after winning the championship last term received their baptism of fire in the hands of the Gunnars who were playing at home - the Emirates stadium.
But it is too early in the season to think that Coventry City under Frank Lampard will struggle for points in the league. It is also too early to project Arsenal as the favourites. Such calls on either side of the divide will be well placed after not less than 10 weeks of the competition.
