My Actifit Report Card: August 18 2026
The defeat of Manchester United by AC Milan currently coached by sacked Ruben Amorim had given Utd some food for thought. The recruitment team have seen that a midfielder is urgently needed by the team to improve its overall performance.
Last summer Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba was sought after by Manchester United. But the pricetag in excess of £100m for the Cameroon international placed on him by the Seagulls made Utd to balk away.
Today's news has it that Baleba is nearing a move to Manchester United. Should they have him now, that will be a dream come true for the Red Devils who had long admired the 22 year old.
But his previous £100+ valuation has dropped considerably down following his dip in form. One therefore hope that his acquisition will bolster United squad and their push for laurels this term.
