My Actifit Report Card: August 15 2026
Malawi's women's football team fairytale journey continues with another impressive victory over the Fennecs of Algeria. The Scorchers ass they are fondly called defeated Algeria (3-1) in the semi-finals to advance to the final.
By that victory, the Scorchers have become the first Southern African team to reach the final of WAFCON on their tournament debut.
That victory however did not come cheap as Rose Kadzere was sent off in second-half stoppage time against Algeria. Algerian player was also sent off in that same game. They ended 10 players apeice but the Scorchers carried the day.
They will now meet Cameroon in the finals. Will the debutant win the tournament? Let's watch and see.
