My Actifit Report Card: August 6 2026

It was nothing short of tension as the Super Falcons of Nigeria stepped out to play against the Cleopatras of Egypt in their last group game. Super Falcons already knew that nothing short of victory was all that was needed to stand a chance of progressing to the knockout stages having lost their first match (3-2) against debutants Malawi and later secured a narrow (1-0) win against Zambia.

Champions will always be champions. The Super Falcons wasted no time to register their intent in that game as they scored three goals in each half to defeat Egypt (6-2) and thus advance to the next round of the competition. Malawi defeated Zambia (2-1) and finished with 6pts, same as Nigeria but they topped the group on the tiebreak criteria. Egypt however finished bottom having lost all three games and conceded 15 goals across the group stage.

The Super Falcons will now face the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon while group leaders Malawi will face the Black Queens of Ghana.
