Debutant Malawi secured their second win in the ongoing WAFCON championship in Morocco with a hard fought win over Egypt. Malawi who played with 10 players against Egypt after being reduced to 10 players in the 52 minutes still went ahead to beat them (3-1).

With their second consecutive win in their maiden WAFCON championship, Malawi's (3-1) win over Egypt meant that Egypt have been knocked out of the championship.
Egypt will only be playing for pride against defending champions Nigeria who needs at least a draw to advance to the next round of the competition.
Malawi have created some nice records for themselves. They are thus the first tournament debutants to defeat Nigeria at the WAFCON. They are also only the second debutants to avoid defeat against Nigeria. Those are impressive records I must say.
Will they continue their impressive runs as the competition progresses? Time will tell.
That's it for now. Thanks for reading up to this point. Until next time, I say, keep exercising.
