Gabriel Martinelli of Brazil scored a dramatic 95th-minute winner as his country - Brazil came from behind to beat the Japanese national men's football team (2-1) and set up a World Cup last-16 tie against Norway or Ivory Coast.
It would have been one of the biggest upset in this year's FIFA World Cup had Japan knocked out tournament favourites Brazil in Houston Stadium.
Germany, another tournament favourite and Four-time winners was not so lucky as they were overpowered by Paraguay in a thrilling penalty shootout after their game had finished 1-1 after extra time. A naturally gifted team was thus booted out of the tournament.
