My Actifit Report Card: June 22 2026
I had high hopes in the Senegalese national team - The Teranga Lions ahead of the FIFA World Cup but what I am seeing from them leaves much to be desired. It is now two losses out of their three matches to be played. I had expected a positive result from the Norway game but they ended up losing same by (3-2) even though their talisman Ismaila Sarr scored two goals but that was not enough to earn them a point. I am now in doubt if they'll qualify from that group.
Senegal will now face Iraq and hoping for a win to have any chance of going through as one of the best third-placed teams.
Algeria responded positively in their game against World Cup debutants Jordan by winning (2-1) despite going down early on in the game while France ramped up a routine win over Iraq with Kylian Mbappe scoring twice in the game. He is now joint second on the World Cup highest goal scorers chart. It is a matter of time for him to break that record.
