My Actifit Report Card: June 19 2026

The boys are gradually been separated from the men in the ongoing FIFA World Cup. Manchester United forward Matheus Cunha who replaced the Brentford striker Igor Thiago in the starting line-up scored twice as Brazil comfortably overcame Haiti in Philadelphia. Vinicius Junior added the third to make it (3-0). Haiti thus became the first team to be eliminated from the 2026 World Cup. They had previously lost their first match against Scotland by (1-0).

In the same vein, Turkey have also been eliminated from the tournament despite their impressive showings in their second match against Paraguay. They lost the game by (1-0) despite the fact that they dominated it and Paraguay played with 10 men for the greeter part for the game.

Their elimination stems from the fact that they have been earlier beaten by Australia (2-0). So they had high hopes of making something out of their next match which is against Paraguay. However, they lost.

Their game against Paraguay produced some form of history as Miguel Almiron became the first player to be sent off for covering his mouth in the World Cup.

The United States take control of Group D with dominant first-half performance against Australia as they finally beat them (2-0). The US have thus secured a place in the last 32 with the consecutive wins at a World Cup for the first time since 1930.
