My Actifit Report Card: June 17 2026
Many had expected Cristiano Ronaldo and the Portuguese national team to traunce the Democratic Republic of Congo in response to the hat-trick recorded by Messi in their match against Algeria. But the final outcome left people dumbfounded. In that game, the DRC were the better side as they responded to the early goal scored by Joao Neves of Portugal in the 6th minute of the game. Yoane Wissa popped up in the 5th minute of added time in the first half to prod home from close range. That goal became the first ever goal for the DRC in the World Cup.
Elsewhere, Harry kane scored twice to propel the Three Lions of England cruise past a stubborn Croatia (4-2) in their world while Austria beat Jordan (3-1).
