Cobblestones transformed into a red carpet thanks to the beauty of childhood | Phone Photography Contest - #124 [EN-ES]

Hello, photography lovers!

A few weeks ago, in central Cuba, we witnessed an event where fashion took center stage, illuminated by the smiles accompanying the steps and gestures of the children who showcased it.

Watching them walk the runway—clad in fabrics that evoke the island’s eternal summer and designs inspired by the work of great visual artists like Zaida del Río—was a true gift that remains etched in our memories, and one we deeply appreciate.

Carefree children, moving across cobblestones as if they were a red carpet on the most illustrious runways, thrill the entire audience, and applause pours forth as a moving tribute.

Girls who gift us not only the translucent innocence of a time we long for, but also a challenge to the throngs of people gathered to remember—why not?—what it truly means to be a small being yearning to fly.

And so, all that’s left is to smile—inviting you to do the same—as I bid you farewell for now, until the next frame.

¡Hola amantes de la fotografía!

Hace pocas semanas pudimos presenciar en el centro de Cuba un evento donde la moda se tornó protagonista luminosa a través de la sonrisa en los pasos y gestos de los niños que le defendieron.

Verles desfilar, con tejidos que nos ubican en el verano eterno de la isla, con diseños inspirados en la obra de grandes artistas de la plástica, como Zaida del Río, fue todo un regalo que nos queda en la retina y agradecemos notablemente.

Niños desenfadados, sobre adoquines cual plena alfombra roja en las más ilustres pasarelas, emocionan a todo el público y los aplausos se desbordan como retribución emocionante.

Niñas que regalan no solo la inocencia traslúcida del tiempo que añoramos, sino el desafío ante tantas personas que se aglomeran para recordar, por qué no, qué significa ser precisamente un pequeño ser con ansías de volar.

Y así solo queda sonreír invitándoles a ustedes a hacerlo también mientras me voy despidiendo, por ahora, hasta un próximo fotograma.
