Creative Freedom: Drawing a Ball

It’s official, I do not understand football.
I’m I the only one who looks lost when watching a football match?

While I try my best to understand a bit of everything I don’t and have never understood football. Am I not putting so much effort into learning it? I have no idea.

Staring at the screen all I can see are well-able-bodied men running around the field with a ball and sweating profusely. The only time I am aware of what is going on is when I hear people scream “Goallllll!!!” or when they express their displeasure with the match.

I’ve tried so hard to understand but it’s not working so I’ve given up on trying, sorry guys.

So today I decided to draw a ball. This drawing happens to be one of the simplest drawings I have ever made. I have been drawing balls from nursery school so this was a walk in the park for me🥰

I used the above materials and followed the below steps.

Materials
Sketch pad
2H pencil
4B pencil
Black pen

Procedure

Step 1:
I started by drawing the circumference of the ball. I tried my best to make it as smooth as possible and I am glad it came out well.

Step 2:
I drew the stitches and the outer case of the ball.

Step 3:
I continued with the stitches and the outer case making sure none was bigger than the other.

Step 4:
I used my black pen to give the ball a darker outline. At this point, the ball was slowly coming to life.

Step 5:
I proceeded to shade some parts of the ball with my black pen.

Step 6:
I continued shading and made all necessary corrections and Voila! My wonderful ball was ready in no time and I was happy.
