Many First Times in 2024 .:. How Was My 2024?

I will try to keep this post brief, but somehow, I know it will not be the case... 😃 So, if you are not fond of long posts, sorry... 😃 As usual, I'm doing my "recap" post in the last moments before the "deadline"... At this moment, there are less than 3 hours until the end of the year, and I would like to "squeeze" this post in it... Like a cherry on the top of the cake, or the crown at the end of the year... :)

I remember that one of my Hive friends mentioned once in the #HHHLive show (or it was in the comment section), how I'm now "floating" inside my comfort zone and maybe I should go outside of it... again... Truth be told, I had the same feeling... That I'm too comfortable and that I'm not doing more "different" things and not going out of my comfy zone... When I went through my posts in 2024, I became aware that it wasn't the case at all... and 2024 was the year of many FIRST TIMERS! So, how it was? (I saw many people doing these recaps in different ways, so I will try to do it in a "mixed" way)

January

The end of the year and the beginning of the new year are the times when everyone has more free days, which means more family time... Also, that's the perfect moment for traveling... In 2023 (I think it was that year), we made a trip to Portugal, and in 2024, we made a trip to Zaragoza, and the next year (tomorrow) we will go to Malaga! (Wanna meet-up? 😃)

In January, I created a new Ph's shorts 🩳 series, with the idea of creating shorter posts on my blog... I did create a couple of them, but the series didn't survive the test of time, and looking at this post, you could get the point why the "short" form of content isn't my better side... 😂

In that month, I bought my first MEME token EVER! Not sure if that was the wisest thing as I bought a couple more in the next few months, but luckily, stopped doing that... lol... I'm trying to keep my focus on quality tokens... :)

February

In that month, we had the very FIRST guest in the #HHHLive show! It was @good-karma, the main developer on Ecency and Hive Witness... After him, we had other guests on the show like @minigunner from CBRS, @detlev, and @hallmann! I hope we will have even more guests in 2025!

March

That was the month when we made a short 2-day "work" vacation to Madrid... I'm just kidding with the work term as it was a small Hive meetup that was very dear to me as we went there to meet @jesuslnrs and his better half, who came from Venezuela with the national choir to Spain... It was a struggle to find the time to go for it, as both sides had a very tight schedule, but I'm grateful that we made it!

April

The second part of March and the beginning of April were reserved for @BuzzParty... I was registered for that event as a speaker and it was my FIRST time presenting the @liotes project in front of a live audience!! I was stressing a lot before the event and that was probably the main reason less content was created during that time...

All in all, the event was a blast!! Despite having a heavy lack of sleep and a strong headache during the whole event, I had a great time! I met many new Hivians for the first time there, and I made stronger bonds with those that I knew from before! You can check out some of these posts if you forgot how it was... :) I made a small collection of posts about it... One from @louis88, with his collection of photos, my personal reflection post of BuzzParty Hamburg, and the recording of my speech by @buzzparty, that I was freaking about for weeks BEFORE the event took place... 😂

May

I suppose that May was one of the calmest months this year... After the big event, I was reflecting on things from it, trying to write to not forget... Also, that month I attended the Car show in Alicante, maybe with a subconscious idea of buying a car soon... 😃 I had a hope in those days, without knowing what will come 1-2 months later...

June

This was the month when I restarted my 1K HIVE power-ups! I began that year with lower amounts, but I had to go back to 1K :)

In June, I created my FIRST poll on HIVE, asking people who follow my blog what kind of content they like the most... It was nice to read the feedback, which helped me to change certain things on my blog...

That month my son finished secondary school and he was taking exams for University... We were traveling to Alicante and Valencia with him a couple of times, which I used to create more photo blogs about those cities...

I think that I did my last fishing (in Spain) in 2024 in June 😱, which I wasn't aware that would be the case... Also, I got my 1300th follower that month!

July - August

These two months are usually reserved for vacation, which in my case means a long trip to visit my parents and friends... Also, that means visiting new places on the way there and back, which is always a lot of fun...

Unfortunately, before our trip, we got news that our landlord wanted to raise the rent, which was worrying in those moments, and brought a lot of uncertainty in our lives... During the vacation, we couldn't relax as we were thinking about what to do when we went back...

Despite all that, we did enjoy our holidays... I have organized my FIRST HIVE Meetup ever! The idea was to gather Hivians from the area where we were (Serbia, and the Balkans in general) and to have fun... In the end, it finished as a small meetup, but with a lot of fun! Was happy to meet again my fellow Hivians, @bil.prag and @ugochill that I met at HiveFest Amsterdam in 2022... You can check out the recap of meetup, and the photo gallery by @bil.prag!

September

This was probably the most intense month of the year!

It was the HiveFest month, and I went to the event as one of the speakers!!! This was my FIRST TIME going there as a speaker and after a small BuzzParty, this was another huge step in front of a much bigger audience! Of course, the event was fantastic and I did two separate posts with my impressions... In one of them, I wrote about the people that I met for the first time, and in the second one, I wrote about those people that I consider as my Hive family.

When I came back from HiveFest, along with my wife, we bought our FIRST REAL ESTATE ever! Before that, I was living in my grandad's house, and when we moved to Spain, we were renting for over 12 years... So, this was a huge step in our lives!

October

If the previous month was intense, this was very tiring... We were moving stuff from one place to another (1-hour drive in one direction), with our small car, almost every day... Of course, during all that time, we were trying to do our regular jobs too...

November

We have finally moved to our new place and canceled the old place! No way back anymore! :)

This month, I have reached 100K HivePower, which was something that I was "dreaming" of from the first days on this chain!

December

Early in December, I reached the rest of #MyHiveGoals, which was great to see as I could take the rest of the month more easily... :) As we settled in a new place, I had more time to explore and research things in the cryptocurrency world and HIVE as well... I needed it as I found some great new things that are in development that gave me a needed motivational boost!!

As it is the end of the year, I used it to create more posts about some travels and events from the past, culminating with this post with a recap of the whole year!
