Howdy to you all, my fellow Midnight Owls,
Here is the new prompt for the Midnight Owls:
Are you tired or just professionally avoiding sleep?
Hi there, and welcome to the latest prompt for the Midnight community. In this prompt, I am asking you a simple question: Are you tired or just professionally avoiding sleep? It is no new fact that we midnight owls are notorious for avoiding sleep, especially when it comes to midnight. So here is my question to you in this prompt: Are you tired or just professionally avoiding sleep? This midnight, do you feel tired at all, or are you just used to the fact that you avoid sleep professionally, probably because of work, something else, or anything at all? Let us know
As usual, we give some highlights of some posts from the last prompt, and here they are:
| No | Midnight Owl | Prompt Title |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | @tesmoforia | What feels urgent only because it’s midnight? |

The question is quite simple for me, especially. It has become a mode of operation for me, especially when it comes to midnight. Have I become a professional at avoiding sleep entirely because I have been up at night consistently? If we are being frank with one another, a lot of us have seen it as the norm to be up past 12 midnight. It is no longer a strange thing; it is something that has been infused into our schedule unknowingly. To me, it is like my day even just got started when midnight comes calling.
It might sound strange to someone who is not a midnight owl, but there is a midnight energy that comes with being awake. Okay, let me try to explain further. Aside from the less noise, there is an energy I get at midnight, more like when one gets an epiphany after trying to crack a case for a long, long time. It makes it possible because one has been on it for a long while, and it only makes more sense when they finally get a crack at it.
This is the case for me, where I find myself not being able to sleep simply because my body has gotten used to it for a long time. It is no longer a stranger to me when I am awake at midnight, infact it is like the day just got started. This is why the sense of being tired does not come into play at all. I do not notice for one bit that I have been awake for a long time, which is a regular occurrence for me. When you do something over time, your body adapts, and it becomes a norm after a while. I guess that is why I have been professionally avoiding sleep.

Looks like the owl’s coffee’s stronger than its commitment to sleep

But do you get to sleep during the day at all? Cos you're mostly busy during daytime too
