SPLINTERLANDS SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE [MY WILD LEAGUE EXPERIENCE]

At the beginning of the season I wasn’t really sure about how things would play out because I was going to be trying out the wild league. To be honest it wasn’t much of a challenge, and my opponents were somewhat easier to deal with. To be sincere this was what I envisioned the modern league would be, but it turns out it is the wild league for me. I might be staying here for a couple of seasons because like I said in the previous social media challenge post I want to rebuild the losses I made in the modern league last season and I really wanted this season to be special but now it has ended but unfortunately for me I really did not have the time to play this season. As of now I have only managed to play 52 battles winning 31 of them giving me a wooping 59.62% win rate in the wild league. In the modern league I was always between 48% - 52% which shows how much easier I have found the wild league to be.

To be honest I used to be scared of the wild league because of its name. Modern seems more enticing and one would expect it to be easy, but unfortunately, it ain’t easy. I got to experience experimenting my cards with new cards in the wild league since the wild league gives the opportunity to use all cards. This was something I had always aspired to do in the modern league but have been limited by the cards available to use. In wild league there is always a wild variety of cards to use, making players like me who love to experiment a lot find joy in playing the game. I don’t know if it’s because it’s just the wild league, but the cards in the market are now cheap, and that was the first thing I discovered while trying to rent cards for the league. I do not know if it’s the same for the modern league, but I think it should be the same because it’s the same market right?...

Anyways, I would try to compare the prices of cards in both leagues before renting next season. This season I spent just $6 in renting and registering for the league, although it would have been more because I wasn’t able to get all the cards I wanted for that amount which was all I had. For this new season, I would put my budget at around $10 to see if I can cover all the elements. About 50% of the battles I lost this season were because I lacked the cards in those elements. I was only able to get sufficient cards for fire and water, I got a few for earth, but life, death and dragon usually had me depending on my reward cards which by the way are grossly insufficient. But apart from all the little trouble here and there, the game play in the wild league was kind of fun. I knew exactly what I needed to do the majority of the time, and it seemed to work 95% of the time which is a big one right.

Looking at my last 6 games where I won three and lost three, I saw clearly the need to have cards. I strongly believe that at least two of those games would have been in my favour if I had the right cards. But then it’s too late to whine about it now. I will try to play more games if I have time before the season ends and see just how much I can gather because the truth is I haven’t been able to earn much having not invested in SPS and not played a lot of games. The wild league rewards are lower compared to the modern league, but I think if I play well and invest well I should be able to make $20 in a season getting to the championship league, but that will be a dream for another season.

Truth be told the splinterlands game is very unpredictable, but that’s just what makes it fun and if you think you will like to try out all the amazing experiences, feel free to join in here
