Hi friends
Love is like a drop off water, it takes time and patience to get to the brime. It's usually days that little drops of water makes a mighty ocean. It's time to hear and see how love was created and sealed through the marriage of my friends. When both couples are your friends, you'll become super excited seeing your friends publicly telling the world that they've finally denied singlehood and have taken the life time decision to become husband and wife. Happy Married Life to Mr/Mrs. Greetings from @salvadornkpara.
Time for Two Becoming One Flesh
Marriage in itself is a good and beautiful thing. The relationship between the couples started like a joke before we knew it we're engrossed in the beautiful relationship that sprang out which we're witnessing the most beautiful event that took place in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
Sometimes I wonder people borrow to get married, but I've discovered that love cast away multitudes of fear and makes one go extra mile for the one they love. Finding joy and happiness in whatever we do matters a lot in our journey of life and love. In the road to becoming one, intending couples will always do anything to avert and fight as well as crush any obstacles in order for the process to be successful.
The D-Day
Every wedding is a conglomeration of aesthetics and glamour. Sometimes it comes with serious anxiety that overwhelms the couples. Let's look at the events that makes up the D-day.
Make-up Time and the Drama
The morning came with serious anxiety from the bride, friends and family. The groom is usually calm because he just needs to take his bath and drive to the church where he'll walk down the aisle, but for the bride it takes a lot of time to make her beautifully prepared for the day. After the bride took her bath, she called the makeup artist and suddenly heard the number you're calling is switched off. This brought more fear and anxiety in the hotel. The house of the makeup artist is just 3 kilometers from the hotel where the bride lodged. The bride began to cry. In that situation filled with great anxiety, suddenly the makeup artist arrived and everyone was paranoid with her but she told them that she was stocked up by traffic on the way.
Every bride wants to look beautiful and unique on her wedding day.
The makeup process started with the application of the foundation. What're they building that requires foundation. Lol. The makeup was made by one of the best makeup artists in Port Harcourt City, Nigeria. The bride was so beautiful that at some point I thought an angel was sent down from heaven. Being beautiful is very essential to every bride most especially on her wedding day. Beauty they said is in the eyes of the beholder. It just reminded me of my wedding day how I was excited when I saw my wife for the first time that day and beautiful she looked. My pastors wife will always say to me don't joke with your wife's looks on your wedding day, give her the best. I give kudo's to the makeup artist for a job well done. This depends on the makeup artist you choose for your wedding, some can make your wife look like a masquerade. Am only joking.
Walking Down the Aisle
After the makeup time, both the bride and groom were ready to walk down the aisle. In our church wedding procession the groom comes in first to wait for the bride. Early that morning I saw my friend the groom very curious to see the bride, he couldn't wait any longer and the level of excitement of taking a wife home overwhelmed him. What I observed was vigour, passion, joy, love and so much affection even amid the stress of planning a wedding in an economy like ours in Nigeria. Truly, positive things usually covers the negative when the joy comes out of a sincere heart. I saw both of them walk down the aisle.
Declaration and Exchange of Vows
Standing in front of the altar backing the congregation. From a far distance you could see the beauty of the couples. It's time the exchange of Vows and the declaration of intention as well as advise from the Priest from the Holy bible
The sermon was on Marriage as an Institution Ordained by God the seasoned minister hammered on staying in God's plan as a key in remaining the marriage. He also talked about the power of forgiveness in marriage. According to him most divorce in the world today is as a result of lack of understanding, tolerance and forgiving each other. After the sermon, the couples exchanged their vows and immediately after the church service, the reception began.
Finally, in Africa or in Nigeria, the most important aspect of marriage is the traditional marriage rites being completed. The payment of dowry and settlement of the bride's family brings the marriage process to a close. It's necessary to follow the good aspects of our culture because it defines our identity. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Stephen Chika Ogbuagu.
