Joining Hive has been one of the best things that has happened to me this year. Hive is the most amazing decentralized blockchain I’ve ever encountered. It’s not just a place to write, sing and earn, but a place to learn and grow. Since I joined Hive, I’ve learned many valuable lessons, but the one that has stood out the most for me is consistency. Hive taught me how to be consistent and how much value there is in staying committed to something.
Before joining Hive, I wasn’t the kind of person who enjoyed writing. I could write when I had to, but I didn’t really enjoy it. I always saw writing as a burden or as something stressful. I never imagined I could sit down and write 500 to 1000 words or more at once. But Hive changed that. When I started writing on Hive, it felt a new change in me. The more I wrote, the more I discovered that I had a lot of ideas inside me, waiting to come out. I just needed a platform and a little push and that was what hive did.
Hive gave me that push. I started writing every day and before I knew it, I had become consistent with it. It became like a habit. I no longer waited for inspiration to strike or for a perfect mood to write. I just started writing whenever I'm less busy during the day. Some days the words will flowed easily as the inspirations comes but other days, I will have to struggle with the words to write. Well, despite the struggle to write, I kept writing and that’s when I truly began to understand the power of consistency.
My consistency in hive has helped me improve in ways I never expected. My writing got better. I became more aware of spelling mistakes, sentence structure, and grammar to use. I began to pay attention to the little things because I wanted my posts to be little bit better each time. And with each improvement, I became more better. I could look back at my old posts and compare it with recent once and there I will see the errors and the difference. All of this growth happened simply because I was consistent.
Not only did writing become easier for me, but it also became something I looked forward to. I stopped seeing it as a burden and started seeing it as a way to express myself, share my thoughts and ideas, and connect with others. Hive turned my weakness into a strength and gave me the space to grow without fear of judgment. That is one thing I love about Hive. You are never judge but rather encourage each time you made a post or engage in the platform.
But consistency didn’t just help me with writing. It also changed the way I use my time. Before joining Hive, I used to spend a lot of time online doing nothing productive, just watching random videos on YouTube, scrolling through social media, wasting data and time watching reels. But once I got serious with Hive, I became more intentional. I started planning my time better. Instead of wasting hours online, I would spend that time thinking of ideas, writing, editing, or engaging with other people’s posts.
Honestly, Hive made me see the value in time and I began to use it wisely. Because of this, I also reduced the time I spent on other platforms. I no longer spent hours on Facebook or YouTube. I had found something more meaningful, something that gave back to me, both in knowledge and in personal growth.
Consistency has also taught me to be patience. Success doesn’t come overnight. Growth doesn’t happen in a day. But if I keep showing up, little by little, I’ll see results. That’s exactly what is happening with me on Hive. At first, my posts didn’t get much attention. But I didn’t stop. I kept writing, kept learning and over time, things started changing. People began to notice my post and even featured my post as one of the top best content of the week in some communities. I got better at expressing myself. And I began to see the rewards of my effort.
So consistency is one of the most powerful habits I've learned from hive and the more I keep doing something on the platform, the better I get at each time. And the better I get each time, the more results I see.
Frankly speaking, If someone had told me a few months or years ago that I would become someone who writes every day, I would have argue and laughed about it but here I am, all thanks to Hive. And all of this is because I stayed consistent.
So that’s the one thing I’ve learned from Hive (Consistency)
