A Newbie in hive

Hello, everyone! It’s a joy to be here with you all.This is my first post here and it's a get to know me post. I am super excited about joining this community of great minds.

​My name is Blessing, and I believe in the power of language to bring people together. I'm a French language teacher from Nasarawa state, but my passion for French has taken me far beyond the classroom, creating some of my favorite travel memories. I have traveled to place that ordinarily I may not have gone to if not for my French language skills. I have had the opportunity to travel to the republic of Benin on different occasions, I traveled to Lagos, I have been to the Nigerian French language village in Badagry and I have visited different historic places like the point of no return, the Heritage museum, the first story building in Nigeria etc all in Badagry. I'm always looking for new ways to connect with people and share experiences.

​When I’m not teaching, you can find me studying the Bible, reading or writing. I've found that these activities, much like my love for language, are wonderful ways to learn and share with others. I am also a Sunday school teacher. I have passion for children and teenagers. My greatest joy is seeing a child’s face light up when they understand a new concept —it's what drives me.

I love baking, I bake for both consumption and commercial purposes. During my wedding, I baked my wedding cake myself and I don't have to worry about my children's birthday cake. I also have passion for business, I have done a few business in the past like selling of ladies shoes,bags and thrift wears, and I also love listening to gospel music.

​I was introduced to this group by my big sister Adaezeinchrist, and I’m genuinely excited about the sense of belonging here, also a robust appreciation to @ovey10 my onboarder. I love the idea of sharing experiences and inspiring one another through writing.
