An Inspiration Birthed This!!! Decorating My Room

Thank God it's Friday!!!

The weekend is here already and it's been a ride this week. This post is to share how my day has been, especially on a Friday. I actually did some things and I felt so great doing them.

Before then, I woke up to the messages from my siblings in our WhatsApp group. I gave them an assignment to do. I told them to watch a movie while they summarise what they learnt there. Also, I let them know there would be a prize for them and that actually encouraged them.

I felt unhappy with my cousin who thought to act smart by getting her summaries from ChatGPT, and she thought I wouldn't know. My sister even confronted her about it, but she denied it.

I disqualified her entry because as I told them, "I want you to write from your heart what you learn from the movie." She could have just written a few lines of what she took from the movie (if she actually watched it) rather than going the other way to get the prize. Well, that's by the side.

Some while ago, I watched a Christian movie and I was inspired by a scene. It was in a room where the wife had been in a bad marriage and needed God to touch her husband's heart so he could return to her. She cut different sizes of cardboard and wrote many Bible scriptures, hung them on the wall, and that was how she created her small prayer room.

I was inspired and decided to decorate my room with the same idea. I am a true Christian, and I have been trying to live a good life, worthy of emulating Christ.

I know many Bible scriptures through the help of God, and such an idea got me inspired to take action to fill my room with Bible verses; the ones I would always wake up to and read, also when I'm about to sleep at night, they would keep reminding me of God's faithfulness.

After a few days, I went out to get the materials.

  • Cardboards (bought 3 for now as a start)
  • Markers (3 different colours)
  • Blade
  • Paper tape
  • Pencil and Ruler

I woke up this morning and was motivated to get to business with my phone playing some Christian songs to vibe with while pushing me to go even an extra mile.

I started by cutting the cardboard into square pieces. At first, I took a cardboard, cut it into 2. Took the first half and cut it into another 4 parts, which gave me these ones where I wrote different encouraging bible verses.

I did the same for others, but in different sizes, too.

I wrote out the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit and the works of the flesh found in Galatians 5 vs 19-26.

I wrote out the beatitudes which Jesus taught on the mount which can be found in Matthew 5 vs 3-12.

It was a good morning for me as I did these and listened to good songs to uplift my spirit. My aim is to inspire people, too, when they come visiting.

I want them to see, read and meditate on it as we share the word of God together.

I am not done yet, as I decided to continue later in the day, or perhaps tomorrow, if time permits me. I still have a lot to do, especially on Hive, as I need to interact, then get prepared for church later in the evening.

Weldone dear, sister.
I think this idea will also help one to meditate on the word of God frequently, and to bring one spirit closer to God.

Exactly. That's the goal, too.
Thank you very much.

This is really a nice practice. I do it too but I use short sticky notes instead of cardboard. Maybe I'll try using cardboards now 😁

Great inspiration sis
