Holiday Moments With My Little Family

It's been an eventful holiday with my family here in Lagos. At first, I was feeling left out with the happenings in my hometown since most of my extended-and immediate family members traveled home for the yuletide celebration. My big brother has been sending me pictures and videos of what they have been up to.

The merriment together has been something I craved, but unfortunately I couldn't make it. Our family tradition initiated by my mom after we lost our dad holds today, and I missed that one too, lol. It's all for good; next year, by God's grace, is another opportunity to experience this same season with my family members over there in my hometown.

However, my husband and I have been creating lovely moments with the kids. Every day comes with something nice and enjoyable, coupled with the visitors at home; no dulling moment, everyone is happy, and that's enough for me.

On Boxing Day, we didn't plan to go boxing or go watch others but rather visited a very long-distance mall from my home. We took the opportunity to tour the heart of Lagos, exploring beautiful places, and then returned to the mall to shop for a refrigerator since ours got spoiled some time ago.

Spar is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, in Lagos overall. We have been buying all our electronics at home from there, and so far they don't disappoint. They are known for quality products and a good customer relationship. I once got my cooking gas over there 4 years ago, and when I experienced difficulty with it, they came to my home to rectify it immediately without charging me extra. So yeah, I got another fridge over there.

There are different gifts attached to each item you purchase, and I was lucky to have vegetable oil. My New Year's oil to prepare my stew is available now, lol. This season they are also allowing customers who purchase items worth ₦100,000 and above to spin to win a prize or reward card.

I did, and yea, I got a reward card credited with 5,000 , plus the vegetable oil gift 😍. In my next purchase, I will use it to buy one of their fresh fruits.

Spar is a very nice mall, and I love how things are well structured there. I couldn't leave there in a hurry; I was just feeding my eyes with the fresh veggies and many things over there. Took selfies as much as I could. My kids enjoyed our study too, especially how cold the place is. They felt we should buy everything they saw, lol.

Overall, it was a nice outing at the spa, and this afternoon, we should be visiting a beach close by. The weather has been hot, and I am sure we will enjoy the breeze, the wind, the wave of water, the swimming pool, the music, and a sip of coconut, hehe. It's the holiday season; I get to relax my nerves before school runs come knocking again in January.
