Remembering Good Times with our City Friends- Beach Camping

Hello beloved community. I hope everyone's having a great day!

Today I'm deleting some pictures in my phone because I was notified that my storage is already full. It really took me half a day sorting screenshots, images and videos that I want to delete and keep and some are even dated three years ago.

As I was scrolling, I found these old pictures that made me remember the fun moments and experience from last year. I am not really fond of posting pictures in my other social media accounts for I just prefer keeping them private. But I also am a forgetful kind of person, forgetting the behind the scenes and memorable details on every event, even worst forgetting some people I newly meet yet I have built good relations with. Thus, I am keeping the pictures here along with the funny and happy details that are still vivid in my memory.

We had visitors from a far city and automatically we consider them friends, brothers, sisters with whom we share the same faith and belief. I no longer remember the reason of their visit but as hospitable locals we wanted to accompany them and show them around the neighborhood.

We're also amazed to have a foreign visitor. So actually most of the time I've been quiet and I was not really sure how to communicate. Thinking about it while typing this really make me laugh. I feel so excited to meet foreign friends but I just do not know how to start or keep a conversation going. Sometimes I just even feel proud to have said even a sentence or asked a single question at least but deep within there's a lot I want to say. Isn't it funny?

We decided to go on an overnight camping on a nearby beach. We brought food and ate dinner together. After, we played card games like UNO cards and sequence. It took us a long time playing that we slept to late at night. We brought our tents which shielded us the entire night. Grateful that the weather is fine throughout our camping. The stars are bright and the sea is calm. Since the beach is stony, we had a hard time sleeping though and we suffered back aches the next morning.

The next day is what I loved the most- witnessing the sunrise. Can you see how beautiful it is? I really enjoyed taking photos against the sun. Witnessing the sunrise that time made me feel so happy. I keep taking pictures here and there. I felt energized as I feel the sun's warmth. Looking at the shimmering and glittering sea looks beautiful. We also ate pandesal for breakfast with hot drink after sharing encouraging lessons from our Daily Bible Text and praying for the food and the new day.

After taking breakfast we spent taking more pictures together in the place before we went home and said goodbye. Sadly we were not able to emjoy swimming at the sea because our visitors needed to leave early. Nevertheless, it feels great to meet new friends. It may be a short meeting but spending time with our newly met friends are priceless.
