A Joyful Dinner with Friends- Enjoying Delicious Food and Fun Games Together

Hello everyone! How' your day, how's your evening? As for me, I have a tiring yet joyful one. Let me share with you a part of my day.

This afternoon, my friends and I agreed to have dinner at a friend's house. We have been terribly busy the past days and so we are celebrating everyone's hardwork after completing the house building project of our brother in faith who were greatly affected by the previous typhoons. At the same time, we are also bidding goodbye to our newly met friends who came to help with construction project. So it felt like we are also having a farewell gathering for them.

We agreed to bring any food, I brought some fruits. I was surprised upon knowing that we are having a boodle fight. It is one famous way of eating in our country where food are places in a banana leave and we will eat around it using our hands. Well, it is a kind of informal eating and we usually do it with family and close friends. I was truly amazed by how the food was arranged by one of our friends. The food all look yummy. There is rice is molded to form the word CULABA which is the name of our congregation and the municipality where we belong. Sorrounding the rice are kamote tops, hotdog, pancit and sweet rice cake, fried fish, lumpia and some fruits. We also have macaroni salad dessert and boiled cassava with coconut milk.

We are all full with the yummy food prepared and brought by everyone. After dinner, we played some game like stocking and removing blocks called Jenga and the other game is called Don Pilas. We took a long time playing Don Pilas as everyone really enjoyed it. We gathered and formed a circle, thought of an alias and then randomly call any friend's alias using a chant. Whoever calls a wrong name or can't respond right away will be punished. It was funny because we decided to apply charcoal from the bottom of a pot to someone's face whoever gets a mistake. It was a really fun game as each one is aiming to put charcoals on everyone's face. And yes, the game didn't stop until everyone got charcoals on their faces.

After the game, we decided to have zumba. Everybody had fun dancing to the rythym, even the boys enjoyed dancing too, even those who didn't know how to dance joined in. I laughed so hard watching everyone trying to follow the steps. Then after the short zumba and we also sang karaoke. I feel so amused hearing beautiful voices. It was already late so we decided to go home but the problem is that, it is pouring outside like it won't stop anytime soon. We bravely decided to face the rain and travel home. We may be drenched but glad we got home safely.
