The days leading up to today have been both exciting and anticipatory. I couldn’t just wait. If I had superpowers I’d have fast-forwarded to today without thinking twice but sadly I don’t so I had to patiently wait for the D-day.
So here’s a little backstory of how I went on a road trip.
A few days ago, a friend told me about the nature of her job and it was so exciting to hear about it. One of the perks of her job was driving to various cities for events and when she needed a companion as the trips could be boring and long. I didn’t hesitate to volunteer, anything to explore a new city🥰
I looked forward to the road trip for days and when it was time to pack my bags and enjoy myself on the trip I was ecstatic! I was up for the adventure and I didn’t second guess the trip for a second.
For the road trip today, I had two missions: Firstly to unwind and cool off without holding back. Secondly, to prove to my friend how a ‘boring’ road trip could turn into a beautiful adventure with just the right mindset and right person of course hehehehe.
We set off as early as we could, taking advantage of the cool morning air, the quiet roads, and traffic in major towns. Slowly we drifted into the beautiful wonders of nature and blasting the speakers with our favorite songs whilst singing along, giggling nonstop as we had fun all the way.
Don’t get me started with the beautiful faces, friendly and not so friendly policemen on the way, the multiple food stops, and above all having meaningful conversation with my friend surrounded by nature. Oh lord, everything was perfect.
This road trip was just what I needed to clear my head and I am happy that I did and I can’t thank my friend enough for tagging me along.
It’s been a rough week for me and going on this road trip did wonders for me.
She’s going to be super busy tomorrow so we had only today to enjoy ourselves.
Seeing the nature of my friend’s job I honestly wish we could trade places but then again it’s not as simple as I think.
While I continue to enjoy myself over here, I thought to share this amazing experience with you all.
I highly recommend going on road trips. It’s therapeutic if you ask me and I think the passengers in the vehicle get to enjoy the trip more than the drivers as they are at liberty to do anything without running into anyone on the road.
If the driver needs to take a break, he or she could swap places with any passenger, making it easy for everyone to have fun without the other party feeling left out.
Over to you guys: Do you enjoy road trips? How often do you go on road trips? I’ll love to read your thoughts in the comment section.

It sure is entertaining🥰
I love road trips but it doesn't have to be long hours. My legs easily get swollen when I sit in one place for a long time

It’s just amazing how much a road trip can do for the soul, especially when you’ve had a rough week. That mix of music, nature, good convo, and zero stress really hits different.
