WHEN PLANS DON’T GO AS EXPECTED

Talking about my day is something I find hard to do but simple too. It’s hard when I try to talk about it but when it comes to writing about it, it’s simple, hehe. It’s been a while I shared a detailed write up of any of my days so today I feel like sharing something with you all. Yesterday happened to be a very memorable day and I’d like to keep that memory on this blockchain.

Like every other Saturday mornings, I felt very relaxed and lazy to do anything. I just wanted to stay on my bed and rest because that’s what I have been craving more lately, lol. By the way, my exams are starting officially this week and having that in mind, I quickly snapped out of my laziness and swing into action. I still have a lot I feel I need to cover but I always feel tired or lazy to keep studying. I tried reading for about an hour and I couldn’t take it anymore so I slept. Immediately I woke up, I had to prepare to go out to collect a care package as it was tagged.

Here in my school, we have different ethnic group of students headed my a president. The president decided to give out some care packages to the students and since I was part of one of those ethnic groups, I decided to go for it. When I got there, I was greeted by a huge crowd and at that point I knew that it was a wrong idea going to that place. Well, I tried to persuade myself to just stay and see how everything would work out. After waiting for about 30 minutes, I finally saw what they were giving out and I almost cried, lol. If I had known I would have even carried some of the things I had at home to give out (just kidding but that’s to tell you how little they were).

I felt really disappointed and pained because I wasn’t feeling too strong and I would have appreciated more rest rather than coming out there to stand for something that didn’t even still get to me in the end. I saw that they were making plans of trying to get more things to give to those that were yet to get anything but I just had to leave because the truth is, someone else needs that more than I do. And besides, I have another appointment that I couldn’t afford to miss for something like that. My team and I were scheduled to take care of the church’s meeting place and we fixed a time for everyone to meet.

Although, before I got there, some brethren already took it upon themselves to do a thorough cleaning which was just so remarkable. I was grateful because I had plans to do something like that but it would have been really hard if I was going to do it with just my team. Well, I was happy they didn’t do anything about the restroom so that was basically the only thing I could do because they did every other thing. We all had so much fun talking about random things and bonding too.

After we finished, we said a prayer and we all went home happily. When I got home, I was already feeling famished so I quickly reheated my food to eat and after that, I started reading for about an hour and some minutes before going to take my bath. I read first because I was feeling pumped to do that first and I didn’t want to waste that energy. After taking my bath, I retired almost immediately to bed because I was already feeling so exhausted.

I hope you see why I said it was a memory day. If you saw why, please leave your comment below, hehe.

Until next time, stay tuned. ❤️
