Helo my dear Hivers family! It's nice to be here again sharing one of the performances in music of my Grade 10 students showing their talents as a musicians. Come and join me as I shared to you the inside world of gifted young musicians.
Yesterday, As part of their MAPEH curriculum, my Grade 10 students took the spotlight with a unique and captivating performance that explored the fascinating worlds of Impressionism and Expressionism in music. Held in each section's room, the performance showcased not only the technical skill of young musicians but also their ability to convey complex emotion and mood through sound.
The student's divided their presentation into two segments the- Impressionist and Expressionist each with carefully selected musical instrumental pieces.
in the Impressionist segment, students used piano, saxophones to create soft, flowing textures. Some students without musical instruments happily sing the song.
The Expressionist segment was an emotional shift. Using strings instruments like guitar and ukelele students create an expressionist sounds while singing one of the famous expressionism song.
This performance was more than a showcase of talent-it was an educational journey. By engaging with these two types of music, students learned to interpret and express different moods, challenge their usual playing styles and think creatively about the sound.
As their music teacher, I emphasized the importance of teaching both styles. Understanding Impressionism and Expressionism helps students become well-rounded musicians. They learn to go beyond technique and connect with the emotional core of music.
This Grade 10 music performances proved that students can rise to any challenge when given the opportunity to explore and express. Through Impressionism and Expressionism, they learned that music is more than just notes. It is a universal language of emotion, reflection and creativity. Through practice and collaboration, they developed not only their musical abilities but also their confidence, communication skills and appreciation for Filipino and global music.
Gifted and talented hands should never be neglected, I love programs like this, we're they're brought together to create a milestone opportunity. @desyah07 thanks for sharing this lovely event
