It's a bit hard to believe that this is the last Friday before Christmas. Unfortunately, if you are looking for Christmas Joy, you are going to have to find it outside of the crypto markets. At least as of the time I am typing this up. I'm actually getting a head start on this post Thursday afternoon because Friday morning when I normally post @mrsbozz and I will be traveling to a local church to pick up Christmas meals for 11 or 12 families in the school district where we work.
It could be a little interesting given the fact that it is about 40 degrees F right now and raining pretty steady. They say tonight we are supposed to get a flash freeze and all of that standing water from the rain might turn into ice. Yikes!

Speaking of ice... I was heading into my office the other day and the ice/snow had clung to some of the greenery outside of my office. It gave a pretty cool effect, so I snagged some photos to share with you here on HIVE.
As I said, crypto has been a bit of a conundrum lately, and with the price of HIVE sliding below $.09, I think there are going to be a lot of depressed people around here. If it's actually possible for them to get any more depressed. I don't know if I should consider myself lucky or not that where I live $.09 is basically nothing. Let alone the folks living on the coast or in the big cities where the cost of living is even higher. If you want to feel good about the price of something where you live, just talk to @seattlea.

Nevertheless, we press on, because honestly the alternative is either to cry about it or take a dirt nap. Neither of those sound that appealing to me. My traditional investments continue to do well, and I look forward to seeing what my year end dividends and capital gains end up being in another week or so here.

Silver continues to go nuts with a spot price of almost $65.50 at the time I am writing this. It's hard to believe that just a year ago I was picking up 1 oz pieces for right around the $30 mark. There has been some speculation about price fixing and other matters. I don't too much about all of that, but I think you should do your research before you invest right now. I know that I am done buying for the foreseeable future.
When things were back around $55 per oz, I picked up this Coca-Cola 1oz bar that I am going to give my nephew/godson for Christmas. I'm not really sure if he is a Coke fan, but I think he will still enjoy it. At the very least, it is .999 pure silver, and you can't really complain about that!
Things have been going well with my GoMining farm. I recently joined the clan that @themarkymark created to participate in the Miner Wars aspect of the platform. While you can buy your own NFT rigs and mine solo, the rewards can be better if you join a clan and participate in the Miner Wars feature. Marky has some targets in mind that could be very exciting if you were interested in being part of the group. The more people have alongside us in the Miner Wars, the better chances we have of getting blocks.

He recently shared with me site that allows me to calculate my ROI on the investment I have made in GoMining. Assuming the price of BTC doesn't go up (not likely), and I don't solve a block on my own (also probably not likely), my return on investment is something like 3 years. In the world of crypto, that isn't a great return, but you have to remember, I can sell my miner down the road if I ever want to get out.
The most important thing is if you decide to get into it, be sure to swap whatever funds you move into the system into GMT and then purchase your miner with that GMT. I allows you to avoid fees. Also, buy enough GMT that you can stake some of it. The more GMT you have staked, the longer you can cover the maintenance for your miners. It also gives you voting rights in the governance system and you earn staking rewards.
There are a few other tidbits that my mentor gave me along the way and I am more than happy to share them if you if you decide to sign up. Just reach out to me on Discord or here.
If you are interested in signing up for the service, feel free to use my referral link we will both get some benefits from it.
Finally, The Pub continues to chug along. We have something like 71 subscribers now for the HIVE community. Folks are starting to get more content in there, and if that trend continues I will start aggressively reaching out to curation groups to give us a closer look.
You can also find us on Discord here
We have a great group of regulars who have started to call The Pub their home. There might be occasions where the conversation drops off a bit, but in The Pub we are always one cold drink or one bad day away from some excitement.
I look forward to seeing you there!

We had a monsoon here today. Making the snow on the ground very wet and heavy. Which will turn into an ice slick since it’s windy as hell out and is supposed to drop into the teens shortly.
Yep, sounds about right! We were a day ahead of you. Then we finished the day with a windchill that put the feels like temp around 8!
LOL! Thanks for the mention, yes Seattle area is one of the most expensive areas in USA. According to some ratings it is at number nine:
Though our suburbs are even more costly:

We have been in our house for a while now, but our price per square foot was right around $75. It's probably twice that now, but still insanely cheap compared to those numbers!
The cost of living is crazy in the Twin Cities too but nothing like the West coast. I always feel like everything is on sale when I travel back to Ohio—groceries are about 1/3rd less. Many counties around Minneapolis/St. Paul are going to experience a double-digit property tax increase this year as well. I just don't know how young families are making it.
I'm starting to believe the "supercycle theory" when it comes to crypto. It certainly feels like there's more room to run with prices being artificially suppressed. The Pub has one new regular! Nothing quite as cozy as a pub. : )
Oh awesome! Happy to have you! It's been a great community since the old one imploded. We have really been coming into our own. Yeah, I can totally understand why people are getting frustrated and disenfranchised.
That's great that you and the missus are doing some service projects. There are so many in need!
I like the Coke bars, and I have that one, which I bought two years ago!

We do this around the holidays each year. It's pretty eye opening the situation some of her families are in.
And sometimes we think that we've seen it all, but not really. We need to be compassionate to the needy.
Oh man that’s a cool mining thing I haven’t heard of that yet but I’m not surprised lol. I’m usually late to those things. I might have to look into it! If I do sign up I’ll for sure use your link dude.
Sounds good. We are starting to get more and more and Marky's clan is growing well.
Sounds like you're getting the same weather as me. Driving yesterday was crazy! Rain, freeze, snow and a blizzard.
Yeah, that sounds about right!

That's some sweet Coca Cola silver! Very nice purchase back in the cheap silver era!
I just realized I started to respond to your post but got caught up in researching the GoMining stuff. Interesting, I may have to give it a try just for fun. How did you pay for your miner, crypto or did you have to use any fiat?
I haven't used any fiat and I don't have any plans to at this point. When I pulled out my HBD I moved most of it into BTC, but then I kept a small portion as USDC just in case something popped up that I wanted to move into. I had planned on sitting on that USDC a little longer, but then this came up and I figured that USDC isn't really doing anything for me just sitting there....
Man crypto right now just feels like watching paint dry but somehow the paint is also on fire, HIVE dropping below .09 is brutal and everyone is gonna be moody about it but like what else is new at this point, I want to get back to writing again since last month been bussy with stuff at home. At work my boss is going crazy seen how much gold has gone up and stays there comparing to crypto / Bitcoin, people grabbing gold back in the day even at $500 must be feeling pretty good even if there is some shady stuff happening behind the scenes with price fixing or whatever. That Coca Cola silver bar for your nephew is a solid gift, does not matter if he drinks Coke or not its still pure silver and thats something you can hold onto for years, at first might not but latter down the line Im sure there is going to be a leasson on that gift, way better than getting him another video game he will finish in a weekend and forget about, thx for sharing.
Yeah, I still have a lot of hope for the future when it comes to crypto, but I can understand why a lot of people are starting to lose that hope. It's just been brutal. I kind of wish I had bought some gold back then as well. That price would have been a drop in the bucket compared to now.
Thank you for sharing, winter, as cold as the crypto price in the market today, but the most important value is how the warmth we can live with fire and blanket hugs, so it is with the current crypto market share, we grow warmth with consistency, the power of togetherness, a strong community will drive it to grow... have a nice day..
Crypto is mostly a hobby for me, so I am good no matter what the markets do. Though I would be a lot happier if everything was up!

As gorgeous as winter
I don't need to be millionaire. Just having Hive price at 3-5 dollar would be enough. But at this point even that seems like a distant dream... If I would have more money to buy Hive situation would not be that bad. But now it feels the worst- I just watch as prices keeps going down without the power to change anything or take full advantage of the situation. Sad times. But some time AI said to me that 2026 should be good year for Hive. So I guess all I can do is wait and see...
That is interesting that AI feels that way. I don't think we will ever seen HIVE back up around $3 or $5. I would be happy with $.50 or $1 at this point, but who knows what the future holds.
Congratulations 👏 to you @bozz and @mrsbozz for your generosity this period.
Thank you.
Wow, your photos of the ice on the trees are beautiful but that cold snap sounds rough. Here it's the total opposite, no snow ever, year-round average about 30°C 🔥
They way it was sparkling under the lights that early in the morning it deserved for me to stop and just take it in. We have some colder days in store before Spring comes around I think.
What a great job you're doing! Congratulations!
It's mostly just our time, but thank you.
Great!
Have a great one!
