A new week is here again, and gradually, September is going by. I went to church today and just as the Scripture says, it is good to be in the presence of the Lord because there is the fullness of God. So, I was glad when they told me, "Let's go to the house of the Lord." It was another amazing time spent there and I felt so blessed.
This Sunday was different; two professors, who are doctors were invited to come and talk to us about our health. It was a health talk: The Ears, Nose and Throat diseases. They also talked about the liver. Trust me, I didn't know the particular place the liver is until they mentioned that it is always located on the right side of our body, under the ribs and is one of the biggest organs of the body. Hehehe 😀 we learn every day.
The whole explanation was projected where we saw many pictures of the ENT (Ears, Nose and Throat) diseases, the causes, symptoms and solutions. Some parts got me shocked, and I was seated there with my undivided attention because when it comes to topics like our health, finances, spiritual topics and personal development, I don't want to miss any information.
I learnt a lot about how to protect our liver, ears, nose and throat to avoid serious problems. They mentioned the dangers of multiple piercings of the nose which many ladies do.
One of the doctors told us of their daily experiences with patients coming for treatment. Some were ladies who pierced their noses and ears, and when asked why they did that, said it was because their friends were doing it. Just because others are doing it doesn't mean we should join, too.
There were instances of little children having surgeries performed on them because of the carelessness of inserting objects in their ears, throat and noses. Imagine one of them had the head of a baby doll in her throat?
These were experiences I never imagined could happen, but they are happening around us. When I was very young, I remember a case of my Dad's friend who slept and a cockroach crawled into his ear. He was operated on before they could remove the insects.
After the service, the doctors decided to do some check-ups on us for a small amount of money. We could have paid a large amount if we were to go outside, but being something they volunteered to make, they offered a discount.
I also registered to check myself and did a hepatitis test and others that are necessary because we were advised to do that, and I am happy I did. Our blood samples were collected and we are waiting for our results when they are done.
It was a great time. Later in the evening, we went to one of our members' houses for the house fellowship, as their place was the next turn to worship there.
It was full of celebration, where two children celebrated their birthdays last week, and their parents decided to make some snacks and cakes to celebrate together as a house fellowship.
I got home around 8pm and completed this post which I started earlier this afternoon.
I believe this week is going to be beautiful. I can't wait for what's in store for me. I wish us a great week ✨️

Hehe. Many people have misconceptions about liver position. Many people even think that heart and liver are the same. The good thing is you learned something.
Such an event should be arranged more times.
