I guess you all are doing well in life and enjoying an awesome day with your family and friends. For those of you who play this game dedicatedly, I hope the last ranked season went smoothly for all of you and hopefully, all of you must have claimed your season end Glint rewards already and are now preparing for this fresh new season. If we take a peek at the current ranked season timer, we still have a long time in hand, around 13 days. But if you are an old player, you realise how important it is to keep pushing since the season began while maintaining your battle energy mana. Because that’s the key to achieving optimal ROI and the best way to progress in the game as well. So, whatever goal you have selected for yourself in this season, whether it is to enter any particular league tier or to secure a glorious spot in the champion top leaderboard, I wish you to accomplish your mission more easily and sooner this time.

Now, talking about my own performance in the game, I am focusing fully on the new Frontier mode, which was introduced in splinterlands recently. This new mode is completely free to play with no need to purchase or hold anything in order to start playing. Not only that, but players can also win foundation edition cards by playing and completing daily reward missions in this mode, which they can choose to sell in the market and earn. With this new game mode, splinterlands has just killed any kind of entry barrier to enter this gaming project and hopefully, this new mode, over time, will be very beneficial to attract new users into the ecosystem. Now, talking about me, I have played the last 3 weekly seasons in the Frontier mode and till now, I have collected a bunch of foundation edition cards (including some rare legendary and gold foils) already, and will keep this going until I build a Max level card collection. As you can see from the screenshot above, I participated in the past 3 frontier raffles with 15 to 16 entries each time, but my luck didn't shine well and I didn't get any of those juicy cards. But, there are still around 100 more frontier seasons to come, so I will keep playing and keep trying my luck, in the hope of something magical one day.

Archmage Yabanius

Now, moving forward to the main topic of this post, today I will showcase another amazing Conclave Arcana card with you all. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the Archmage Yabanius. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this special CA monster, let’s take a dive without any further ado.

Archmage Yabanius is a monster type card that was launched in fame with the launch of the latest Conclave Arcana edition card set. This monster is created to show honour and recognition to one of the founders, Yabapmatt. This monster belongs to the Water element and it comes from the Human bloodline. This monster, by rarity, is a legendary type card, so in order to upgrade it to its max level, you need a total of 11 BCX cards. This monster costs 6 mana to be used in battles, so it would be a better choice to use it while playing medium to high mana limit matches. The attack type of this monster is ranged and it also features good health with speed, along with 5 abilities at its max level, which I am going to talk about later in this post. Let us now zoom in on this monster’s league wise stats and abilities to find out more below.

BRONZE

At level 1, this monster possesses 2 ranged attack power at 5 speed with 6 health, along with 2 abilities - Camouflage and Empower, both of which it gets from its initial level. So, apart from attacking your enemy card hard and fast, this monster also has defensive abilities to protect itself from enemy attacks.

CAMOFLADGE - Cannot be directly targeted unless in the first position. Does not affect indirect attacks (e.g., Scattershot, Blast splash damage, or Trample) or wingbreak.

EMPOWER - While not revealed, this unit and adjacent units gain +1 power.

SILVER

When this monster gets upgraded to its next level 2, it gets exactly the same stats as of its previous level - 2 ranged attack power at 5 speed with 6 health. However, it does get a new ability at this level called Shatter, with which, now you can take sown armoured units very easily.

SHATTER - Successful attacks destroy the target’s armor.

GOLD

When this monster gets another upgrade to the next level 3, even then, its stats remain the same as those of level 1. Buy, those stats do not experience any change, it again gets a new ability called Stun at this level, which will now help you to stun enemy cards and skip their turns.

STUN - 50% chance to apply Stunned for one round after a successful attack. Stunned units skip their next turn and cannot retaliate.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you decide to upgrade this monster to its max level 4, it finally gets a stats update. Because now it features an increased 3 ranged attack power at 5 speed with 6 health. Not only that, but it also gets a new ability even at its max level called Relentless Strike, which will increase your offensiveness even more.

RELENTLESS STRIKE - Attacks deal true damage. +1 damage if the target has void, shield, or forcefield.

Last but not least, this card is super useful for a series of reasons - first, it's high speed since the initial level will help it to launch attacks very quickly each round. Not only the stats, but its abilities are also very cool, especially those 2 old abilities - shatter and stun. Overall, I think Archmage Yabanius is a great card to hold in your collection and play with. What do you think?
