What I Want My Legacy to Be

The word legacy is a strong one that usually made me pause and reflect on my life and what it's i want to be spoken of me not just now, but when I'm long gone, like the way I want to be remembered when my time here on earth is up, to me legacy isn't essential what we think about, but do naturally which goes on to become our personality, it's not about our titles, wealth, or material possessions, but about our impact, how we made people feel and how we treat people around us, and with that I'll be talking here about what I want my legacy should be when am gone.

Despite having little, I want to be remembered for my selflessness, with people attesting to the fact that he was there when I needed him, or he helped me without expecting anything in return, I've been on this path for a while and it's not because I've so much, but because I know what it feels like to struggle and lack, so that has brooded the craving for kindness and compassion in me to be more present in the lives of others, if I'm remember for these as a legacy, I'd be proud in my grave knowing fully well that I did my part for those around me.

I want to be remembered as someone who put a smile on the faces of others, both people having a normal day or a bad one, either via my words of encouragement, actions or generosity towards turning around their situation, personally I've had my fair share of pains and challenges, especially regarding my health, financial pressure and loss, but above all I've been privileged to have people standby me during those moments and I'd want to replicate same and be there for others.

Additionally, I'd love to leave behind a legacy of purpose in different aspects, through my teaching, writing and things I do here on hive and in the real life, living a life that brings about hope, ignite belief in oneself, so that everyone who comes across me or my work will go on to belief that they matter, that their voices matters and that's they've got loads of beautiful things to offer the world, being an inspiration to at least one people would be fulfilling for me and that's one of the very reason I chose to be a teacher so I can ignite that fire at a tender age on the coming generation.

I'd also love to be remembered for my resilience, I think it's one of my strongest traits and what has been keeping me going through the years, despite several tough times, challenges, let down and the likes, it's quite interesting that I'm still pushing one, I think it's a legacy that should be studied and appreciated because I've seen and read of people who barely face half of what I did and had given up on life, their dream and ambition, and yet here I'm still striving towards my course, so I want to be remembered as someone who via his life taught others that though life may not always be fair, but with a heart full of resilience and hope, Yoo can make a difference if only you keep pushing.

Legacy is something I take very serious, like they say a good name is better than riches, what would be remembered about you when your name is being mentioned? So with that being said, I'll love to be remembered for how I made the world feel, believe and smile and not for what I had while I'm alive.
