My Dream Christmas Destination

We're already in December, and what that means for many of us is that we're getting nearer to Christmas and that it's another time of the year to relish the moment and enjoy ourselves. I'm a big fan of Christmas and love it so much because of all the experiences I've had in the past and how much positive impact it has had on my life. Given the way I love Christmas, if I had an opportunity to celebrate Christmas anywhere I like around the world, where would I choose? Would I still choose to celebrate it here in Nigeria, or would I want to choose other places? Below I'll state my preference and several other things associated with it.

In all honesty I've celebrated all the Christmases I've witnessed here in Nigeria. And the fact is that I've enjoyed every part of all the Christmases I've celebrated; they've been awesome, and I want to have many more such moments. But then if an opportunity to celebrate it elsewhere arises, I'll most definitely accept the offer, especially now that the offer is open to me picking anywhere I like around the world. There are lots of places I can choose from to celebrate Christmas, and if I have to pick a place, it'll most likely be the United Kingdom or the United States of America.

The reason behind my choice is due to some of the things I've seen, especially regarding how Christmas is being celebrated there. Take for instance one of my earliest memories of Christmas movies was from the popular TV show Home Alone, which lit up my childhood days and filled them with lots of exciting celebrations, family bonding, and the like. And seeing the traditions of Christmas in the United States, I feel like it'll be a good thing to experience how it's done over there and also experience new things. It's not like I don't like Christmas here in Nigeria; it's just that I want to experience new things.

Also, the second part of the prompt asked if I'll live to celebrate Christmas in the location of my choice alone or with someone. My response to that is that even though I'm an introvert and enjoy my own company more, it's worth noting that I'll be choosing to celebrate Christmas in that location of my choice with someone, or should I say some people, and those people are my wife, parents, siblings, and friends. Having these people around even though it's a new location would make the Christmas celebrations there memorable and one celebrated home away from home.
