Gifts worth appreciating

There's something magical about receiving a gift - the way it lights up a person's face and the joy that comes with knowing someone remembers or thinks about you. Gifts have a way of making people feel they are valued, cherished and loved. I love the feeling of excitement when someone unwraps a surprise and the "awws" that come with it. I love receiving gifts, too. I appreciate someone who gives gifts, not just about the item but the thought behind it. Whether big or small, a gift can melt a heart and brighten someone's entire day and mood.

I have received lots of gifts in the past, some of which were two frames with my pictures on them as a birthday gift. I never expected it as it came as a surprise - it melted my heart that day and I felt the joy within me. I also got some gifts recently as my birthday presents in January.

An earpod and an iPhone XS.

They were gifted to me by my younger sister, who, out of love, decided to make me happy on my birthday, and I would say they were gifts I cherished so much. I remembered just saying to my sister how I needed an earpod but kept procrastinating with different excuses. My sister sent a link one day for me to pick my choice of an earpod I wanted and liked so she could order and send it to me from the US. I was super happy that day, and the idea of getting it myself got cancelled, knowing I would be getting one.

After some days, she chatted me up asking if I would need an iPhone, too. I didn't wait for another second to pass by before I replied "Yes." I thought it was a joke until I got both parcels delivered to Nigeria and I travelled to get them from a friend. She went to the extent of getting two pouches and screen guards for my phone which I considered a huge love.

The thought that my sister could think of making me happy on my birthday with these items made me happy and I couldn't stop thanking her. I have been using my earpod and iPhone; they are just amazing gifts given out of love, and the thought behind them is what matters, not the gifts.

Hehe. I think I am not so lucky like you as I am the eldest son of my family😅. In rare cases I received gift and I think I can count the number of gift if I try to recall all the gift I received in my life.

You are lucky to have her as your sister. And yes, it is the thoughts behind the gifts that matter the most.

Your sister must be an amazing person and so are you. Good to see that you appreciate the effort. People do things for that love and appreciation.
