MEMORIES THAT NEVER FADES

As a fine and applied art student in the university back then,one of my favourite memories was the spontaneous trips that I and few coursemates who we specialized in same major take during our semester breaks.

We had been studying hard, hearing about history and culture so we would always want to explore to widen our horizons, catching fun and making memories in the process. One of our art history classes,the lecturer was just going on and on about Imo state, a state in nigeria and a museum in Owerri their capital and sculptures ,art works that can be seen there.

During one of our semester breaks,we decided to go an adventure and explore Imo state and it was one of the best and favorite trips I had and it's still fresh in my memory. This was far back 2013.

We got to Owerri and we decided that everyone should put on white tops which we all did and we started our adventure which took us a week in Imo state. Over the course of the week we visited so many interesting places and made memories that would last a life time.

We went to the Mbari cultural and arts center an open house museum in Owerri,we actually saw some cultural artifacts and sculpture that were mentioned to us in art history classes. From the museum to the Owerri zoo and I saw so many wildlife animals like lions,monkey chimpanzees etc .

Then,we also visited the Oguta lake and spring which is a natural lake. The lake had a resort in which we did so many fun activities like taking a cruise on the lake, swimming, playing golf etc. It's been so long that I can't even remember all the fun places we went to and I don't even know if these places I mentioned still exists.

While we were there,we heard a particular local government,Njaba local government worships python and the python usually comes out to greet visitors or hang around where visitors are staying that it's a sign of welcoming the visitors. We actually went to the local government because we wanted to experience it and the python did came to the compound we stayed.

From touring to different fun sites,we had fun,laughed and bonded and friendships became stronger. I actually spoke with some coursemates that I have never spoken to before.

Looking back,this particular trip represented everything a university life should be exploring the unknown and creating unforgettable experiences with friends and coursemates.That road trip will always hold a special place in my heart as a reminder of the incredible experiences that university brought to my life.
