Greetings everyone! Happy weekend and Merry Christmas in advance.
I'm excited to be here as this is my first time of posting in this community. So, out of the topics given, I'll be talking about The lessons I learned in 2023
This year has been averagely good for me. I entered this year with no resolutions not because I didn't think about it but for some reasons, I just decided not to. I achieved three things majorly and I made decisions that didn't sit well with me but it turned out to be good for me.
In this 12 months, I've experienced bad days and I've also experienced good days. It hasn't been easy, but in all, I learnt a lot of lessons which has shaped my life and I can vividly say, I'm better than I was last year.
LESSONS I LEARNT IN 2023
I learnt to give more than to take
The good book says; It is better to give than to take. It also says; Give and it shall come back to you good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over.
I have been a beneficiary of the act of giving that is why I have learnt to give more this year. Also, I have made people happy by giving and it has opened ways for me countless times.
I Learnt to forgive easily
I have also learnt to forgive easily. Over the years, I remember keeping grudges with people who offended me. I didn't have peace and most times, it affected me with the way I related with people.
There's a saying that goes; You only live once (YOLO) The world is a small place and tomorrow is not guaranteed. So, it's of no essence to hold grudges about someone who offends you rather it is good and better to forgive and let go. That way, you will have peace.
Writing this brought back memories especially about last year. I was offended and betrayed by someone who was very close and dear to me. It affected me and at some point, I developed hatred. One of the days while reminiscing on everything, I saw no reason to keep malice and from that moment, I made a decision to forgive unconditionally.
I Learnt to be independent
The issue of being independent cannot be overemphasized. It is very pertinent and of great necessity because it will save you from a lot such as disappointment, frustration as well as embarrassment.
Few years ago, while I was in college, I had always run to my parents for funds and they will always complain about not having money. Besides, I have siblings who also needed financial assistance and it was demanding on my parents.
Most times, I'll feel bad. So, I decided to get a skill which I did and it helped foot my bills as well as assist us domestically at home and trust me, there's a lot of respect that comes with that.
Hive has also helped me financially. I can now get things for myself without stress and as well assist my siblings. That's a very good feeling and I'm happy about it.
Thanks for reading and stopping by my blog.
