Right from time, I had been a lover of cleanliness. There was a time even I thought it was getting to be too much, but then I realized that it wasn't like that; I just have this thing for unclean and disorganized space. I love clean surroundings as they give me peace and comfort. And over the years I can say that that habit has helped me in a very great way, from how I work to where I live and how I relate with people.
Hygiene and sanitation are about health and dignity. And I can boldly say a lot of these diseases wouldn't have existed if people hadn't taken cleanliness with levity. Here we very well know how malaria spreads mostly by stagnant waters and dirty gutters, we know how cholera spreads mostly by dirty drinking water, and we know how typhoid spreads by dirty or uncovered food/water. Most of this disease outbreak is being caused by poor sanitation. They are obvious all around us, they affect us, and they are what we see each and every day.
I don't take cleanliness lightly. I do my best to keep my space clean. And I must confess, I hate washing plates, and I mean it, and I think that's one of the reasons why I don't keep dirty plates down. Immediately after I'm done using it, I wash it. I tie up wastes and dispose it off in time. I take my bath, wash my teeth, wash my clothes, undies, bedspread, towels, and the rest. Talking about toilets and bathrooms, I don't in any way joke with it; sometimes last year when I was living in a face-me, I face-you apartment, I volunteered to be among those who wash the toilets. The way it was written, only females would wash it while the guys would provide money for the soap, Jik, and all that is needed to keep it clean.
Also, I do go for catering work, and I can say it has taught me the importance of hygiene in food handling. We wash our hands regularly; my boss would even share over fifteen nylon gloves with each person. The moment one tears or is becoming soaked with oil, you must change it. Our foods are always properly covered and we separate raw ones from already cooked ones. Those things may look simple, but they go a long way in preventing sickness and protecting the people we serve.
One thing we must realize is that cleanliness saves lives, and it also helps us save our money. Most people spend huge amounts of money in the hospital on an illness that could have been avoided by proper sanitation. A clean environment improves productivity; it allows one to focus, it gives room to think and brainstorm, and it makes one feel at peace.
We need to understand that life becomes a better and healthier place to live in the moment we start taking hygiene seriously. Cleanliness is something more people should do well to embrace to make the world a better place to live in.

Thanks a lot.
Cleanliness is indeed next to godliness. I actually don't always clean my surroundings all the time but then i still make sure my environment is clean and tidy from time to time.
That's a good one sir.
Thanks a lot for stopping by.
