Teachers Vs Doctors

I was scrolling through my followings and then came across a post talking about a debate that reminds me of primary school. During my primary school days, one of the most common debates we often had was Teacher versus Doctor. I still remember how those moments were, where each side trying to defend their point of view.
My stand then was always in favor of teachers and even till now I have not changed my ground. To me, teachers are still better than doctors and when I look at the role they play in society, I see reasons why I still hold that belief.

The first reason I believe teachers are better than doctors is because teachers are the one's that begin shaping lives from childhood. Right from the early age, children spend most of their days and time in school under the guidance of teachers. It is in the classroom that a child learns to read, write, and think clearly. These first lessons remain the foundation for all future growth. Without this foundation, it becomes difficult for any child to rise and succeed in life. A doctor may treat a sick person, but the teacher has already planted the knowledge and discipline in that person long before the doctor comes into the picture.

Another reason is that every professional in society, including doctors, must pass through the hands of teachers. When we see doctors performing surgeries, prescribing medicines, or saving lives, it is easy to forget that their journey started with a teacher. At every stage of their education, from primary school to medical school, there was always a teacher guiding, correcting, and instructing them. Without teachers, there would be no doctors, no lawyers, no engineers, and no other professionals. This makes teachers the backbone upon which every other career depends.

In addition to knowledge, teachers also play a role in character building and development. They are not only concerned with teaching subjects but also with encouraging discipline, patience, and responsibility in their students. Teachers correct mistakes, reward good behavior, and set examples for young people to follow. A doctor may save a life in the hospital but a teacher shapes many lives in the classroom. The influence of a teacher often stays with a student for a lifetime. In fact, the way a teacher handles a student can inspire that child to dream big and work toward those dreams.

So when I see both professions, I see that doctors focus mainly on health which is important, but teachers focus on the whole person. They touch the mind, the heart and the future of young people. Teachers may not always receive the same recognition or financial reward as doctors, but their work is the reason why society keeps moving forward. Without teachers, the knowledge that sustains every other profession would not exist.

In as much as both teachers and doctors are valuable and society needs them both, the teachers play a unique role that cannot be replaced. They prepare the path for every other profession and shape lives from the earliest stages. This is why I continue to believe that teachers are better than doctors, just as I argued during those primary school debates.

With this few points of mine, I hope I'm able to convince you and not confuse you that teachers are better than doctors.. Thank you!!!!

Seriously, teachers are the salt of the world and in teachers, you see light as they illuminate the world with their profession. Thanks to all my teachers for moulding me to become what i am in life. Thanks for sharing.

I get your point but both are still better. Teachers may have implemented knowledge but doctors can save a life that has knowledge so that knowledge will not be a waste.
