The Haunted House Story

I have done some pretty crazy things, while some of these things turned out to be so fun and lovely some turned out to be terrible.

Have you ever done something crazy? Something that brought you close to death but you survived.

I am not a fan of horror movies nor am I a fan of action or tragic movies. Leave me with my comedy, Romcom, adventure and the rest as my heart is too soft to go on any violent ride, and as a result of that I try to stay clear of them but that changed when I gave in to my friend's demand.

I can remember how it all started and ended.
Just like every normal weekend, I and my friends decided to hang out, we had different places we had to visit on our list and one of them was a Haunted House which was solely my friend's idea as I was against it.

I politely declined and decided to wait for them at the reception because I knew there was no way I was going into the haunted house as my heart would not be able to withstand the shock and the scary images and things that were present in the haunted house.

My friends kept convincing me that the house wasn’t that scary but was simply overhyped, but I still declined. They kept on pleading with me as I was the only one in the group that wasn't going into the haunted house, they were worried I was going to get bored while waiting for them, I assured them that I would be fine as I had so many things to get busy with while I waited for them.

My friends did not back down, as they moved from pleading with me to join them to motivating me to face my fear and have fun. After much pleading I decided to go in as I also wanted to experience being in a haunted house for once in my life and what other way than to go in with my friends?

We bought our tickets and from the counter, I could see people coming out from the house screaming and laughing, I immediately told myself "You've got this IB" and just before we entered the house I took a deep breath.

As we entered the house it wasn't looking as scary as I thought but it was just too early to see anything frightening. We proceeded to the lobby and that was when the real drama began. Scary monsters and moving objects began to troop in from different places and we all ran in different directions
A man in a coffin stood up and walked towards me, he looked like he was about to touch me, I screamed and ran but the more I ran, the farther I ran into different stages, the more stages I got to the scarier it became.

The only thing I can remember screaming was "Take me out of here", and " I want to go" but nobody came to my rescue as everywhere was noisy and rowdy. After so many moments of torment and almost passing out, I don't know how I found the exit but I ran out of the house as if my life depended on it, I was sweating profusely and my heart was racing.

I moved from being scared to being angry, how dare my friends make me go through all of that only to come out and laugh at me, and to make it worse they kept teasing me.

Without saying a word to them, I took a cab and went home.

It was one thing to go to the haunted house and it was another thing for my brain to replay everything all over again when I tried to sleep. I couldn’t sleep well for days because I kept seeing those monsters at night and I couldn’t be left alone in a dark place

While my friends were sleeping peacefully in their houses I was there watching my house like a security woman.

Remembering this event still gives me the chills and if I was the president of the world I’d band h houses as there is nothing fun or exciting about being scared.

Since there are no pictures of my visit to the haunted house I decided to recreate these pictures😂
