Happy Weekend Everyone.
I stumbled on this hive Ghana prompt and here's my responses to it.

Think of one habit that has genuinely improved your life. It could be small, like journaling, exercising, or saying “no” more often. Describe how this habit transformed your daily routine, mindset, or relationships.
One life changing habit that I can say has genuinely help me in my life is Saving Money and as simple as it sounds, it's not easy and it is not something that everyone does, its only those who know that they can't afford to eat all they earn and not have backup that can Save Money, Saving Money is not easy especially when you have alot of things you want to buy , you have needs etc, but the ability to prioritise your spendings is where this comes in, in time, I have realised the discipline I have gotten from just this one simple habit.
Not gonna lie here, before I started saving, I used to be a big spender, and a big online shopper, I usually shopped for gadgets, tools, etc and it's not as if I didn't need those things , I needed them but there could have been other ways I could have gone.
Also I had this habit of not saying No whenever someone asked me for money , I just felt because I had it then I could give it , but then they end up not paying back , this aside saving helped me filter alot of this unnecessary letting money go from my hand.
From this I realised that saving money is not just about me putting money away, saving Is about giving yourself some sort of security , when you do actually save , it's like you are building some sort of security network for yourself, you know that when something happens suddenly or unexpectedly you will have something to fall back to, and this feeling can give you alot of peace of mind.
Also saving has helped me that I don't have to buy everything I see, I have to weigh the options , I think about my purchases well, if I really need that particular thing or not, if there's an alternative to make something go for that thing, all this , I do think now before spending money.
I also feel alot more dependent on myself because I know I don't have anyone I want to run to hell me out for certain things , I have become more safe knowing that I have something I can fall back to, the peace I get is topnotch from just this life habit.
Now I plan better, when you are able to save , you can actually set future realistic goals for yourself as a person, maybe it buying something important, emergencies, supporting a family member when the need arises, saying does makes these things better without putting much pressure on yourself.
There are times when saving will feel difficult because not needs , because life actually comes with alot of expenses and sometimes it feels like there isn't enough money to put aside, but then I have learned that it is not always about the amount but then it's about the habit , even little amounts saved consistently can lead to big things.

Which is why saving is one habit I will continue to practice, weather it's convenient or not, it has become my lifestyle, because it keeps me safe, secured, discipline, independent, it's not just about the money ,but it's about building a habit that's protects you and support your goals in life.

The trick about money is, don’t give out money you’re not ready to lose. Most people would take your money and refuse to pay you back, so you need to make good financial decisions for yourself first.
