An act of kindness turn a stranger to a close friend
Everyone who comes into our lives has a role to play; some people come into our lives to help us, while some come into our lives to break and ruin us. There is always a lesson to be learnt.

When I gained admission to run a part-time program in the school I currently attend, being my normal person, I didn't try to make friends, I just attended class, and once the lecturer was outta the class, I bounced too.
It didn't take long before I started talking to my seatmate because I had a particular role and seat, which is my favorite spot, and that is where you will always find me during lecture, unless on a few occasions when I come late and some other students have already occupied the seats.
Right from my secondary school days, I have always had a problem with mathematics and any subjects that deal with calculations. I was not expecting to jam the same maths in tertiary, but I did, out of the 6 courses I offered, 3 were giving me a headache! Maths, C programming, and Java.
I need no soothsayer to tell me I was going to fail those 3 courses if I do not act fast, and no matter how hard I try to learn them, it is just not working!.
Fast forward to one day when the Java lecturer gave us an assignment, we were asked to run a code, and I didn't understand it at all, and I lamented that day to my seatmates.

On the day we were to submit the assignment, I didn't do it so and I already accepted fate that I was going to lose the mark, only for one of my seatmates to show up and give me a file and said he did the assignment for me, I was so touched because I didn't ask him for help, he just willingly did it for me because he realized and predicted I won't be able to do it.
That act of kindness marks the beginning of our friendship, and he helped me a great deal during my time in Nd1. He also helped me during the exam, and if not for him, I am not sure I would have done well in the three courses. I was fortunate that the lecturer did not separate us when we had those assignments; it seems everything was working in my favour.

Yes, he didn't ask for anything from me, but being someone who also loves to appreciate good people, I took him out after class to an eatery on campus, and we had a good meal there.
That surely would end in a friend like brother relationship... A friend like that is rare

Absolute kindness! Such a really great way to begin a friendship, thinking ahead for you without you even asking him to. This what matters at the end of the day, going the distance for each other :)
