Are You Guilty of This?

I rarely write like this. But I feel it’s important I bring this to our notice.

In our society today, the internet has become so accessible, almost everyone can access it any day, anytime. Not like it’s a bad thing. But some people have become a nuisance on the net. Giving out takes on every matter they see on the net.

Yes, it’s your phone. And it’s probably your data you’re using. But the purpose of this post, is to solicit for a little bit of humanity from us.

Yes, it's easy to quickly judge other people’s lives based on the limited information we see. However, it's important for us to remember that sometimes it's best to hold our opinions in certain situations. Life can throw some pretty tough challenges, and it's crucial to approach these moments with empathy and understanding.

Well, Here are five scenarios where we should exercise caution before passing judgment.

  1. Marriage: Every relationship is unique, and what works for one person might not work for another. Instead of judging someone's choice of partner, or their decision to tie the knot, let's celebrate their commitment and support their journey. Love comes in all shapes, sizes, and colours. So let's encourage healthy relationships rather than casting judgment. Or even better…stay silent.
  2. Divorce: The decision to end a marriage is rarely taken lightly. In most cases, it’s accompanied by deep emotional and personal struggles. Instead of pointing fingers and jumping to conclusions, let's be there for those going through a divorce. Offer a listening ear, a shoulder to lean on, and refrain from making assumptions. It's their personal journey, and they’ll need support more than judgment.
  3. Death of a Loved One: This is a very sensitive one. Unless you’ve experienced the death of a loved one, you will most definitely not understand the pain. , it's not our place to judge how they mourn or grieve. Infact. It’s a very insensitive and immature thing to do. Instead, let's offer our condolences, lend a helping hand, and be a source of comfort during their time of need.
  4. Childbirth: The miracle of childbirth is a joyous occasion, but it can also be overwhelming for new parents. Let’s stop imposing our opinions on how they should raise their child!
  5. Parenting: Parenting is one of the toughest jobs out there. It is a constant struggle because no one has all the answers. If you can’t offer help, it’s best you remain silent. If you’re an experienced parent, there are ways to offer advice that won’t sound condescending .

Empathy is a quality that’s gradually becoming extinct in this generation. We just want to catch cruise with everything. Not giving a damn how that affects those at the receiving end.

When you don’t have something positive to say, it’s best to be quiet! We don't always have to voice our opinions. I hope this sound as a wake-up call to us all!

Choose kindness…always!

Peace!✌️
