Little Miracles

I’ve been thinking about something today, and I just can’t help but think of how we take little miracles in our lives for granted. So after closing from church today, I took a ride home and after getting home, I wanted to put my phone on charge.

I was very hungry and my head was also hurting because I couldn’t sleep well the previous night. So the plan was to eat and then put my phone on charge. But for some awkward reason, I just really wanted to put my phone on charge first before eating.

I started searching for my phone for like 10 minutes and couldn’t find it. I called my ride and asked the driver if I left my phone in his car. He parked his car and searched the seat and the floors of the car and still couldn’t find it. I even thought he was pranking me, so I started laughing. But then, he made me know he was serious.

At that moment, the hunger just vanished, and I started being scared. I was just hoping that it was truly a prank. About 2 minutes later, I got a call from him, and I was actually thinking he was going to tell me it was a prank. After answering the call, he told me I was a really lucky lady, which got me curious.

He then started telling me about how and where he found it. He said he went back to use the route we used to go home, and he saw it on the floor with its screen facing down. I kept thinking of how the phone even left the car and ended up on the road. I kept thinking of the number of people who have used that route but passed by the phone. I really did a lot of thinking.

And then finally, I thought about how frustrated I would have been had it gone missing. Not even because of the phone itself but its content. I was so excited and grateful that I found my phone today. I don’t care what anyone says, but I really believe this is one of those little miracles we brush aside.

My heart has been so full the whole of today, and I couldn’t just keep this to myself. I’m really grateful to God for His endless goodness. When the driver said I was a lucky lady, I couldn’t help but smile and that’s all I’ve been doing all day.
