I am a believer in Natural Law. I am a believer in Karma. I am a believer in Humans. I am a believer in innovation. I am a believer in 'open source development'. And I am a believer in what we are building here, community, friendship, fun and games.
I have certain set of skills, skills developed over a 'long' career in crypto. Recently this has made me somewhat sought-after. Join our team, give us some advice. Advice I used to give somewhat freely, now gets me invited into a discord role. This has rarely, but with increasing frequency, created some friction in my life. I am still figuring it all out.
One of the things that I am not good at is throwing shade. I hate it, I prefer to just walk away. Privately I share concerns and criticisms that I don't post publically. Anyone who has had a disagreement with me privately probably knows that I do not generally take that 'on chain' or into public. I do however often have strong opinions about things.
There was some issue recently with @the-singularity - nothing to write home about, I tried to help and left a few days later. @enginewitty was there, he knows what happened, @bitcoinman and @thecrazygm too. Not every disagreement needs to be made public - I truly believe this.
I run the INCOME synergy Fund. The founding principle is helping small, active projects - I have developed quite a nice list of best practices and have had some really nice successes by 'helping' my investments grow instead of just buying tokens and waiting.
Sometimes people listen to my advice, sometimes they don't. In my experience it usually goes better for projects to stand on the shoulders of those who have come before and avoid reinventing the wheel.
I believe in both numbers and people, but numbers really matter to me, they can make the difference between success and failure. @stickupboys has criticized me before about this, mostly privately but recently a bit publically. It is what it is, everyone can speak their mind. If I really 'only' cared about numbers, his comments would not hurt as much, methinks.
Reputation is earned, by each one of us. In a 'trustless' environment, reputation is enormously valuable. Its hard to earn and easy to lose.
I was brought onto the PsyberX team in October of 2021, because I had reached out to jboss offering advice around that time. This is literally what I do, will do and always have done.
I have never had an official title, I have been advisor, business development and even project management. I was just trying to help. The project had not managed its money well, it had not managed the development of hive-engine integration well, and there were already integration problems appearing on the horizon.
Some of my simple suggestions appeared to be implemented. But as I dove into the development side, several of my recommendations were not heeded. I had recommended rebuilding the hive-engine NFTs with the NFTmart team. This was rejected by jboss and klye, they would 'build through' the problems.
Its been another year at least. Maybe they are close to building through these problems?
But from that point, I stepped back once again to "advisor".
There have always been plenty of good ideas to go around. I still, even now, have a lot of hope for the project, the 'universe' that is being built, albeit slowly. When there was a chance at developing on Myria - instead of putting more things on the list of already swamped Klye, I handled it with thecrazygm, launching the @psybersects account in the process. This account is completely controlled by me. We also took the opportunity to launch MYRIANODE token, which has gone really well.
@psybersects has funds in the Swap.Hive:LVL pool. These funds will remain there unless I publically announce further. I will be locking this down for now. Most of these funds came from ETH sales on Myria of Psyber-NFT passes.
At some point, Serfdom and Sorcery was launched. There was pushback, there always has been - this is the role of advisor. But really, its another game in the 'universe', and we were all waiting for Klye to 'build-through' all the problems that we had known about from the beginning. Decks soon. We still are believing this to this day.
At some point there was a sale of something, and I was chosen to run the 'buyback fund'. I might have insisted. One issue from the beginning has been the management of funds, and I am a big believer that corporate pools of money, if they are not raided, can be a constant and continuous boon to any project.
I was selected to run the buyback fund, which I still do, on @multi.polar account. I was given 9500 swap.hive. This never was 50% of the sales as was announced. I pushed back, but these are the funds I got to manage, and manage them I have.
When jboss needed to raid the buyback fund to pay V-tec, I made him send me the equivalent of DBLN. He bought them back he told me. I still run this buyback fund. These funds will continue to support the project.
Serfdom and Sorcery continues to undergo development, there is a new developer and he is working magic. Many people like the game, some don't. Like any game, its not for everyone, but some people like this style of game and I believe it continues to have potential. Time will tell.
PsyberX as a game was made, but not connected to HIVE. We need PsyberDecks to do that, stuck in development hell due in no small part to decisions that were made more than 2 years ago to make the hive-engine NFTs without following the best practices.
This is sad, but reality. Is it all a scam? I don't think so, haven't thought so for two years. Have there been red flags? Yes. Not of the games, or the intentions of people to build games. The biggest red flag for me has been jboss's inability to manage his personal finances.
From what I understand he lives in California with a huge cost of living. I recommended several times he move to Colombia and be able to live comfortably on WAY LESS money. He hasn't, but who can fault him for that - I have made this same recommendation to many and no one yet has taken me up on the offer.
Personally, I think the NFT image usage rights issue is silly and a non-starter. I think the marcus wahl case is a silly disagreement between client and developer, from what I know (which isn't much), its completely the client's fault as I have personally seen several deliverables for that job. These things don't really worry me.
But I am awfully tired of lackluster or nonexistent rebuttles as defense, endlessly slow development, new things to sell and always needing more money. These things weigh on me, even more than a simple comment from @stickupboys about how I don't care about people. I do care, a lot.
I feel a bit silly saying this, since the only things I do now - managing @psybersects and @multi.polar - I will still be doing. But nonetheless, I have a lot of other things to work on, a lot of other places to put my precious time and energy. This position is not paid, I don't make any money - I just get a fancy discord role. I don't control any keys (other than the ones mentioned in this post), and as such I have very limited influence in how money is managed or spent.
I wish the project the best. I have some personal funds invested, and I don't plan to dump. I believe in the universe they are building, despite the people involved being flawed human beings. We are all flawed. I have flaws as well, although I try to structure my life to take advantage of my strengths and have people covering for my weaknesses.
I don't think its a scam, although I do think building stuff is hard. Its even harder if you depend on what you are building for income, and even harder if you need that income to be up to first-world, california, most expensive places in the world to live, levels.
I want it to work, but I need to clarify my role. I'm a buyback fund manager, nothing more. I freely give advice, when I have time, because I manage a fund based on the principles of Synergy.
There is among the community right now appearing some blowback for the PsyberX project. It is not my intention to add to this, if you think it is then re-read this post; I hope to bring these claims back down to reality. This post is really my attempt at an honest and open defense of the project, before I throw in the towel.
It has come to my attention that there is an intention to find a way to 'nail this project to the wall'. I don't know what will come of it, maybe the situation is worse than I ever imagined. Or maybe it is exactly like I suspected, still suspect, imperfect humans doing their best to do something interesting.
But neither can I stand in the way of it. People will investigate what they will, and come to conclusions with or without information. In my eyes, the challenges faced by PsyberX are not that different from the challenges faced by many projects, even well respected projects, in our beloved HIVE community. But I too am fallible, if for no other reason than I want to believe in people.
lol I did not say you don't care I said you see numbers....we see people! You are good at numbers and leverage every project you are involved in to make a good profit, this is a great skill to have.
I see people too, some of which are not very good with numbers.
lol true

I see people and numbers and the numbers stop to matter.
Why the number matter and why people matter. Numbers are nothing more than a measure. Unfortunately numbers are not good for measuring people. That's the confusion.
Each number has a specific value. While a persons value varies from day to day and even through the day. In all of that. The importance of the people does not change.
The problem with Hive is in what it is not doing. It stalled. No one cares because everyone is caught in their own world of creation (used loosely). Thousands of micro worlds and the world we live in forgotten.
I can sat that is truth, because there is no action to show different.

Yeah the myria pass thing is really shit since they can't be transferred. Like a web2 game item with the difference, it has no use case and was expensive.
Yes and the claimable crates won't bring much solace until decks. Its like a terrible circle of obstacles π
For me the most annoying part was the break of the promise the ETH funds would be used as liquidity pooled with LVL and ended up paying for personal expenses. Pools are holy, and special with the promise on top.
I mean it was clearly advertised those funds will be pooled. So it would support the market and could "grow". Otherwise, I would not bought one for 0,3 ETH.
In the end, it is what it is.
Btw, something my gut feeling says, since his computer broke ( ETH was used to buy new one), no development on shooter anymore. Is it possible all data was on that computer and there is no "dev file" data of that game anymore?
I mean this would it make a straight scam since then. Only something that would fit into the Psyberbank never transferred anything after that.
Who knows maybe i am wrong. That was something that came me in mind

Appreciate the post, Alex. As usual, I always feel like I'm out of the know on all this stuff, which is maybe a good thing.
Anyway, good info to know. Hope you don't see any trouble from this mess.
We work as hard as
possible within limits.
Then, step back and hope.
Already know my feelings as we'd talked several times prior to this over the past X months. And like you, I really try to hope for the best but everyone has their limits.
Youβre an awesome human being and a good investor too. I appreciate your presence on the blockchain.
(And as president for dcity ;))
Appreciate you!!
This is a very sold post. Admirable quality to have, not "airing the dirty laundry." Every post you make has a very noble and benevolent tone to it. Mad props, man.

Rage quit?
Fuck I wish I had that option.
A lot has been put on your shoulders, and I am particularily displeased by how your time was managed occasionally just casually switching you between multiple different things.
I'm not sure exactly to what you are referring to here, but of course I hope you don't rage quit. But I do know that you need to do what is best for you, just like we all do. Hopefully we can encourage open conversation about everything - admit where mistakes were made but also call out baloney accusations as well, of which there have been many.
I keep hearing rumors that huge revelations are coming. I don't know the future. I hope for the best, for all involved. Big love to you and positive vibes from South America.
Literally was just replying to something I read while skimming, likely taking it out of context.
Not even sure what your reply is. Not even sure what the original post is. TLDR.
Rage quitting was never an option. lol

I too saw many red flags with the PsyberX concept. In theory, it was a great development and had every chance to be an incredible game with an incredible community... but what was off-putting for me was the constant need for more capital for "development" and other various excuses/reasons. I had people saying I was a fool for not "getting in early" on something that was "guaranteed" to be a massive success... yet here we are a long while later with little to nothing to show for it and along the way, having been asked to buy this or that or "invest" in this or that for the sake of the game and it's development. Color me unimpressed so far as it seems to have not taken off as some people wholeheartedly believed it would and had unwavering confidence it would. LVL has not been a good investment for me and the few times it popped up from a major dip, I sold off fractionally to somewhat recoup in case it was a complete flop, but to also keep something present in it's economy in case of a major value increase. Thus far, I've been satisfied with my decision to sell of what I have and accept that if I lose the rest, I at least gave it a fighting chance and time to develop (Which it hasn't done so well at.) and am satisfied with holding the amounts I do now among a few of my accounts. I truly do hope things turn around and that the devs can figure this all out as well as manage their money better, but it bothers me to think that capital people put up for "development" may have simply gone towards supporting a costly lifestyle that some live and refuse to give up, despite it being the most frugal and respectful option over ego and vanity. I appreciate your transparency here in what role you play, as it's hard to know what role one may truly play in the background and behind closed doors when it comes to any game/concept/idea. Hoping for the best, but as I said, thus far the future looks bleak at best.
Yes to all that. It has big potential. My only hope is that we can just get everything out in the open, and development will continue. Time will tell and once again we will remember to never invest more than we can afford to risk.
I discovered it was very easy to gain a lot of DBLN, rather than play the game just put it in the liquidity pool and watch the SWAP.HIVE disappear and the DBLN grow and grow and grow! Now I have 5 Million DBLN! Yay for me! Do I sell? Dump? No way! I'll just be a DBLN millionaire and hope that someday the value of DBLN will become something?
You might be really happy with some of the updates to the DBLN economy
Or Not.

Thank you for your transparency on this.

You added this part later.
.
No, no intention to find it. Some evidence was offered AS the 'nail in the coffin'.
I absolutely did not add this part later.
I will be changing my upvote to a downvote for this comment because of how many times you have edited it to say different things.edit I got this mixed up with another comment, hard to keep up with you. Please try to stict to the truth in what you are doing. Whether you mean to or not you are mixing a lot of lies and misunderstandings of how things even work recently.
No lies.
The original post that you wanted to publish did not have the last part.
That's what I was referring to.
.
I deleted a new comment and added it to this one instead, because this one was at the top and I wanted my reply to "find a way to 'nail this project to the wall'" to be seen.

Calm down. You finally saw the rotten and decided to leave, I'm not going after you.

@ecoinstant can you please clarify who owns psyberdecks/psybersects now?
.
.
I may have got the name wrong in my first post, but both psyber-sects and psyber-decks were independent initially.
I own @psybersects and I delegate some RCs to psyberdecks, Im not sure who all has the keys to that one but my guess is jboss and or klye.
$PIZZA slices delivered:
@mirroredspork(3/5) tipped @ecoinstant
Still shilling SnS because of bags though.
Post on that one too soon.
I have no 'bags'.
I was simply referring to this:

PS- this is incorrect
Sigh, honestly if half the stuff you said weren't completely retarded it would be easier to respect what you are doing.
That's not how NFT showroom works - I didn't create anything. I own those NFTs.
I used project manager as one of my many titles over two years in the very post you are commenting on.
Do you even know what project management is? Its communicating between the leaders and the developers to arrange priorities and make sure the right things are getting done in the right order. It has nothing to do with regular 'management'.
It's not nice to make fun of retarded people.
But more on that later.

You are right, this information is incorrect. Editing it.

If you don't know much, why advise to not pay him back?

...and dowvote him
https://peakd.com/psyberx/@marcuswahl/justin-moore-has-taken-in-2600000-for-a-game-but-has-failed-to-deliver-it-or-a-refund
My understanding of the case is that the client continuously moved the goalposts, and then made a scene to try to get a full refund after lots of work was done.
I have seen several deliverables with regards to this job, which is where my belief that lots of work was done comes from.
When I asked for the complete scrape of the discord chats, so that I could personally make the rebuttle, I never got access to the information.
Then again, if you don't have all the information, as advisor of the project don't advise to not pay back a debtor.
.
And why make it sound like the issue was only the Discord name change and that he'll get paid back?

I used to think PsyberX was linked to Hive
Wow!
I mean, it is 'linked to HIVE'.
One of their games, Serfdom and Sorcery is connected to HIVE. PysberX team uses HIVE blog for their announcements and updates. And they have spent a long time working on a back end to link up the Unreal Engine to the Hive-Engine.
Its equally untrue to say that the whole thing is not linked to HIVE.

That's what they lead people to believe for years.
