In this post I'll talk about the Grove Doomblade card in Splinterlands, a great ally when you have the Reverse Speed rule in your battles.
I like to talk about Arcade Colony in my posts, so let's learn a little about this gaming platform.

Arcade Colony is a web-based platform where mainstream games can deploy Web3 features. Newly created games, as well as previously released games, can now add tokens, digital collectibles, trading, renting, earning, and governance to their games. Thus, Arcade Colony hosts a series of published games similar to the Epic Games Store, Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Steam, but unlike Web2 publishers, Arcade Colony augments new and existing games with Web3 features.
For more information about the platform, read the Whitepapper.
I'm playing 3 games on Arcade Colony and they are:
I'm not very active in StakeHouse Den, so my main focus is on Splinterlands and Moon Karts.
There's also the game Genesis League Goals on Arcade Colony, but I don't have any investment in that game currently.
Remember that this is not an investment tip.
You can follow news about the platform on the Arcade Colony Discord.
Let's continue talking about the Grove Doomblade card in Splinterlands.

Grove Doomblade is a fire deck card and its biggest advantage is its powerful attack, but unfortunately it has a very low attack speed, which is great news for battles with the Reverse Speed rule.
There are 3 ways to get the Grove Doomblade card in Splinterlands.
Buying from other players on the market.
Opening Loot Chests.
Opening Rare Draws.
My main focus in Splinterlands is building a card collection, and the cards from the new Reward Set are on my radar.
The Grove Doomblade has 4 abilities, and they are:

Targets the enemy unit in the last position.

Deals double damage if the target has Taunt.

50% chance to apply Stunned for one round after a successful attack. Stunned units skip their turn and cannot Retaliate.

Takes an extra turn prior to the first round of battle.
This is a great combination for an offensive attack card like Grove Doomblade. Let's take a look at how it performs on the battlefield.

In this battle, the Fury ability was very useful, and with just one attack, my Grove Doomblade defeated Coeurl Lurker, my opponent, making the battle much easier.
I chose the summoner Yodin Zaku, but it wasn't a good choice because of the Deflection Field rule. I forgot to check that rule at the time, but Yodin Zaku was useful, increasing my monsters' life and ranged attack.
This example shows Grove Doomblade's potential, but it gets even better with the Reverse Speed rule.
